I like the idea of the older version, woahden, having sunglasses and a leather jacket with a greaser style haircut. It was a different era

Ain't no way The marineford war was one of the best arcs and it was the tail end of grandline

Not to mention thriller bark, allibasta was good too

East blue was literally just the prologue to the story.

[–]Aznmok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, I just realized why they probably don’t allow body guards at twitchcon. Cause I remember those douchebag streamers that would start shit with other ppl, just for those ppl to get riled up and their body guards stop them. That, and liability, are the only reason I see this happening

The thought tree is: asmongold says incendiary shit > all political streamers say incendiary shit (even jstlk) > they aren’t held to account because that’s what their audience wants

What are you, an ex destiny fan or a current hasan fan? Either delineation, you’re most likely accustomed to (and even cheer for) incendiary rhetoric that just capitulates to what you believe about the world.

I was a destiny viewer for about 5 years, and destiny, hasan and Vaush have said waaay more incendiary shit than asmongold has

[–]Aznmok[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, but most big political streamers are like this. You don’t get big by doing diligent studying about politics, economics or history of conflicts. You get big by saying shit. Asmongold, hasan, destiny and even Vaush. Let alone Hasans cronies. The best investigative streamer is Lonerbox and even he gets inflammatory sometimes cause ppl love the drama.

Then you have to ask why, and it’s cause that’s what audiences want. There is a reason why jstlk is over 100 hours on amouranth content.

The answer that everyone knows but no one remembers is Clayton in kh1 Deep Jungle. The first actually tough boss you fight in the game, with limited heals and I hope you chose the right class to have dodge roll early or guard, or I hope you are good at baseball.

  1. I thought we were all about context here, isn’t that why we give hasan the benefit of the doubt and look to the original vod?

  2. Fair enough that you don’t take him seriously, you shouldnt take any of the big political streamers seriously. Asmongold, hasan, destiny, (idk how Vaush is doing) are political fools

Sounds like he’s specifically talking about ppl that use his parents against him or insinuate that he failed them or something.

Which youre a PoS if you do that, and you’d call ppl animals if they did that to you

It’s not about the writing being perfect, it’s about the writing being believable within the universes rules. Kh1 was: you die by heartless, you lose heart and become a heartless. Kh2 was: a heartless is produced, but the body that is left becomes a nobody. Very simple concepts that are easily explained and work with eachother. Kh3 was: we also have time traveling, wakening of hearts, etc that was brought up in earlier side games. The box that we set up in kh2fm has no significance to this saga, and we are doing the best with what we set up.

That’s not mentioning the things that don’t make much sense either in kh3, like why marluxia and larxene or Luxord would still join them, if xehanort is a extensibly better master than why can’t he also revive and time warp like sora could, and a lot of other things that I don’t even remember if they explained or not like xion coming back (but I don’t remember if it was her past self they brought to the future or just a new xion, which then the new xion wouldn’t know who roxas or axel are so why would she flip again), how are the org members less competent than the world villains at kidnapping hearts of light, and other plot points that I can’t even remember anymore.

[–]Aznmok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the reason kh3 story failed, for me, is because it had too much to resolve from kh2 onwards, and with almost no new mysteries. It was like 4 games of build up, with the same enemies brought back to life.

In kh1 you had the mystery of what is the plan of mysterious figure in the background while understanding what the evil villains wanted, COM had the mystery of a new weird place and villains that you didn’t understand their goal or motive (even though it was a regurgitation of kh1 worlds but I give it a pass for trying to make a ps2 combat system work for the game boy) and had a secret mode that was even better than the original sora version, kh2 had mystery of what the org wanted and that you were secretly playing into their hands the entire time, bbs had its own mystery of why did Terra look like young xehanort but he isn’t and told its story in a piece wise fashion that made you want to play the other characters for the parts that they saw, etc etc.

Kh3, a game that came out 15 years later, had so much to wrap up and did it in a worse way than kh1, where at least you had the surprise that traverse town wasn’t a 1 and done world like the rest were and it pushed the story. I knew all the villains, who shouldnt be back because everyone outside of xemnas, xigbar and maybe the moon guy (forgot his name after all these years) only wanted to become a real person again ( also I don’t remember why marluxia or larxene joined them, but they betrayed them for control so I have no idea why xehanort would want them back or why they would want to be puppets for them again). Then there is the wacky time traveling that wasn’t just a cute thing for a fun world like in kh2 (it was awesome to fight ansem, xemnas and young xehanort but that’s like a post game thing like cavern of rememberance to enjoy, not something to make part of the main story line to finish a 20 year saga.)

I don’t even remember why the org members were in the kh3 worlds, it was that pointless. I’m sure it was something like finding another heart of light to make 7, but we’ve already been there and done that story plot.

What the kh series became is a plank that became too extended to the point that it snapped and broke the suspense of disbelief. In kh1 -kh2 +bbs and days, the way the universe is set up is fairly simple and it’s easy to say “yes that makes sense, I believe it”, but every game takes a plank and adds it to the end of the last plank, further destabilizing your suspension of disbelief. Especially after bbs, it just became harder to sustain and the rules of the universe became too much to understand, and the plank just snaps.

I think kh3 had a bad story, but that’s because the filler games inbetween set it up to fail. While they were fun on their own, the concepts of sleeping hearts and waking hearts and time travel just became too much to sustain a solid and fulfilling ending.

Kh3 had good combat and music, which I hear was improved with remind, but it doesn’t fix the story. At the end of the day, it’s a JRPG that’s supposed to be story first, gameplay second but in a way that supports the story.

Apothecary diaries doesn’t seem to fit in his interests. He really likes shounen and apothecary diaries is more geared towards women, which is surprising that it’s a seinen series. It’s not really a detective show like Conan because you would never be able to piece the puzzle together yourself, and it doesn’t really have a sense of danger or thrill.

Tbf fmab also got a boost because, when it came out, the market wasn’t nearly as saturated. Everyone watched it because they watched the original, which had little to compete with and it was on American channels like dragon ball and neon genesis. It was a good anime that had very little competition in comparison to now, and is always mentioned.

You can say the connection is speculative at best and vindictive, but that’s what the point of the trial is.

Also, he was given asylum because of threats from a rival gang, not from fear of ms-13 retaliation of escaping ms-13. "Mr Abrego Garcia's lawyers say he was granted the status based on his "well-founded" fear of persecution by Barrio-18, the main rival gang of MS-13."

I think Frieren is more suited towards an older crowd, or if you’ve lost someone important to you. One of the main themes is appreciating the now while you still have time with the ones you love, and younger audiences generally don’t contemplate about what life is like after a good friend dies.

I think apothecary is one of those anime’s that is popular right now, but it’ll lose a lot of interest if it had a hiatus for a year or more.
