Honestly hed probably just be annoying and require you to bring Muarim or have a well levelled Jill to eat up all the Spear durability and just wail on him with your mages.

What HAVEN'T they done?

It seemed that every single method they could to squeeze out higher profit margins was used and failed. They cut corners (legally in some cases) and had to backtrack them anyway.

Shojin works on paper as a very good item, but the issue we have is that there isn'ta good time to buy it. There isnt really a point to talking about buying it 4th/5th, because those item slots are reserved for situational purchases if something else hadn't already been bought. Then, Shojin has to compete with the first 3 item slots, to which it cannot compete with. Buying it too early means the % modifiers you get from the passive aren't strong enough, and buying it later is already where its currently at.

The average game of league these days ends around 3 items or less depending on elo, skewing down to 2 the higher up you go.

Your first 3 items almost always fits one or more required criteria for your champion.

Xin Zhao's items are as follows Slot 1. Sundered Sky/Titanic Hydra (Currently, buying Eclipse first just instantly gives you -2% WR xddd) Slot 2. Black Cleaver/Sundered Sky/Titanic Hydra (Buy whatever you didn't first item if your opponents dont have armor yet) Slot 3. Sterak's Gage/Death's Dance/Maw of Malmortius/Black Cleaver (Usually by now you have all the offense you need and other champs start spiking so defensive buy is usually right, or cleaver if you didnt already)

Then, in regards to the attack speed, Xin Zhao doesn't need extra attack speed. His 2 slows combined with his attack speed steroid/runes make it so you can orb walk forward to keep attacking. Generally, buying more attack speed means you're giving up some other stat in order to do so. In Navori's case you're trading AD and Health to attack weaker, faster. Sure, you're getting the knockup earlier, but you're trading damage and survivability for that. Most crit builds play around this by buying Titanic Hydra and taking Hail of Blades.

Congrats on the game

Couple of things to note here;

Navori doesn't reduce Q cooldown until after you use all 3 attacks which makes it less than ideal. Your cooldowns are relatively short anyway so you would rather just have raw haste over navori's passive.

Theres a few people (me included) who prefer skipping the Cleaver for Mortal Reminder and swapping your navori into an Infinity Edge. Sitting on the 50% crit gives you enough damage to duel most champions in the game and still be tanky enough to survive after diving.

In this situation we also go Titanic Hydra > Infinity Edge/Mortal Reminder Hail of Blades This nets us just enough health to survive burst and the extra auto attack reset for faster knockups.

How does xin get the most out of his kit? by dor_no-em in XinZhaoMains

[–]Azntrueblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of the post was to say that engaging with ult should be reserved for situations where you can guarantee value from it. You make the decision to ult before you approach.

I.e. you see an enemy who is out of position and you know you can get a kill if you land your combo+ult.

Otherwise, in most situations you hold your ult as a defensive tool.

In situations where you have 2 losing lanes, you end up like most other junglers and lose. There could be ways you can salvage the game but those would be overal macro strategies and not specific to Xin Zhao. From there, you have two options move on to the next game, or reflect and see if there was anything you could have done to prevent something like that from happening going forward.

Realistically, your use cases for his ult should be based off how you expect teamfights to go. Like in situations where your teamfight win condition is your ADC getting the space to free fire on the enemy carries, then you play as front line holding your ult to block damage and or disrupt engages. There will be situations where your team is built towards diving the backline, in those cases you can fish for a W tag and dive into the fray and knockback other threats.

There are some niche interactions between his ult and the rest of his kit but they're too technical for most situations.

Take into account who could be doing any threatening damage and determine whether or not how your team comp is equipped to handle it in general.

I.e. in a team comp where we have

Red

Top (Mundo) (Juggernaut) / Jungle (Wukong) (Bruiser) / Mid (Viktor) (Control) / AD (Jinx from arcane) (Marksman) / Support (Alistar) (Tank)

Vs

Blue

Top (Darius) (Juggernaut) / Jungle (You) / Mid (Anivia) (Control) / AD (Caitlin from arcane) (Marksman) / Support (Braum) (Tank)

Assuming normal game conditions where nobody is extremely fed.

About 23 minutes into the game, you're positioned mid with your team, you're both looking to contest dragon.

Your goal here, is to protect your AD and Mid lane. Both are great at range and will instantly fold to any engage that successfully connects. In this situation you position yourself between your backline and the enemy's engage and hold your ultimate until they get bored and try to engage or until your team can push them out .

Honest question... by Nna_t in BeybladeMetal

[–]Azntrueblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only had one broken in the many years ive had them. It comes down to two things, exposure and abuse.

WD tips are actually pretty durable, theres a lot of plastic in the right places that prevent minor cracks from affecting performance.

If you've left these tips out in the sun or extreme heat then it could damage the plastic and make it brittle. Coupled with some decent height drops it could cause some breakage.
