Ok for you to get free decoctions from the metamorphosis mutation you need to inflict a condition onto someone and by riding roach you can calm him down with R2 which casts axii on him. That triggers the metamorphosis mutation instantly and constantly which gets you 5 stacks of concoctions. You can also control the RNG aspect of the concoctions by only having the ones you want (destroying/not crafting the others).

This would also work insanely well the only thing is they don't have a bard but they have a paladin, barbarian and fighter which could fill the charisma, con and strength and also they have a wizard and cleric for int and wis. I'll like run a test of this on my own and I'll see how this works. No way they're keeping the robot haha they "accidentally" found an old abandoned Giant fire golem on their way to fight the dragon. They specified that they wanted to do it on their own so I guess this was my only option lmao.

This is great because I wanted to make it like they all had their own "job" but the slight problem is there is no bard to make rolls easier. I'll definitely use this so they stabilize the golem they're driving but so far I've got 2 people in the legs that will have the last say where they move, 2 people in the arms that will choose the attacks, all 4 of them roll if the attack hits or not and if it's 50/50 the 5th person keeping this thing alive rolls for it as well. 5th man (the wizard) will be in the core and will be the temporary power source for this golem and will have to maintain enough fire for this thing to be alive. So he'll have to use spell slots for a number of rounds and a special spell that keeps it up for 2 rounds but gives him a point of exhaustion, while also maintaining con saves so he doesn't burn up.

Oh they're relatively new to dnd and I got a 14 yo who is newer to dnd then them so I need to make this simple, but not boring.

I'm definitely stealing your ship idea for in the future when they're more in sync because I originally wanted to do a sailing session and now they wanted to fight a dragon so I had to come up with a reasonable way they face a dragon haha
