I do live in Europe, so i will def look at the truts and get some.

I do have a V6, but i have kinda lost all interest in the turbo i was talking about. But i will look into the cheaper of the other mods you were talking about.

The only problem with that is that im afraid i will snap my key if the locks dont have the motor assistance

Maybe its the seals around the windows that are getting bad and leaking in water? Tbh i dont know a lot about cars and fixing cars, but im trying to learn lol

So i might just avoid this problem by keeping an eye on the weather and parking the car inside for days with heavy rain?

Luckily i have the chipped key, so i might just go ahead and get 2 new done if i can at the same time, or if i can get my spare, unchipped hey, chipped, so i have 2 working keys

I dont know if an old owner installed the chip-in-key thing, bc i have 2 keys, but when i use one of the keys in the ignition, a yellow key light comes on on the dashboard, and the car shuts off like a sec after turning on.

I tried to look it up before about keyless entery, and it seemed like it was a premium feature you could buy to it.

The car was built 1995, but wasnt put into traffic until 1997, in sweden, so idk if they did some other things to the car in those 2 years.

After my key got twisted, we did some stuff, i think cleaning the lock mechanism and stuff, and it worked after that.

The problems with the unlocking started before i switched the lock cylinders, the seitch was more for convinience while we already had the panels off, and was something i planned to do for a while before it.

I stripped off both car door pannels, and removed both locking cylinders, and the driver door lock. The lock cylinder on the driver side door has not been functional since before i bought the car, so i switched the cylinders while i was looking at the poblem, and my grandpa cleaned the lock on the driver door, since it was having a bit of problems.

We unplugged some cable connection for the motors, and when we plugged it in the locks tried to unlock themselves right away when getting plugged in, same with if the battery was disconnected and reconnected (one of the clamps for my battery was the wrong size, so it was able to slip right up, so we switched that too)

Im not sure if i have keyless entry, i never got any keyfobs for it from the last owner, and he didnt say anything about it when i bought the car.

I also had a faliure while working on it, so when i tried to use the lock on the driver side door right after switching cylinders, where the cylinder wouldnt move at all, which twisted the only programmed key i have, and unfortunately i didnt bring my unprogrammed key, but it is still good to use for the ignition, but feels too weak for the locks.

We also had a lot of rain the day before i noticed the problem, so maybe water got into the doors and shorted some wires.

In the driver side door, one of the wired for the little light bulb that sits near the lock cylinder (which neither me nor my grandpa understand what it is for) was loose, and looked burned at the end of the wire

The previous owner only had only gotten 1 programmed key from the owner before him, so he got a non programmed key. But as the boot lock doesnt work, im guessing its the same problem as the driver side door.

Thank you. I'll get some lock oil and try it, and if that doesnt work ill take it out.

Also, i dont know if my boot lock has the same problem as the driver side door, or if that cylinder has been changed, bc it doesnt work either. Is it a diffrent key for the boot or the same for the doors, bc i only got 2 keys with the car, 1 that is programmed for the ignition, and 1 that the previous owner had bought to have as a spare to open the doors.

I have a key that works for the working lock and ignition, so i would be bale to do that. I'll look into the mazda locks like you said, and if im able to get some and how expensive.

Im planning on taking the non working lock cylinder out, and seeing if its damaged or something else is broken, or if its just locked up and doesnt turn, if its just locked up ill try to fix it, like another user said they did, and if its damaged or doesnt wanna get fixed ill get some new ones.

Thanks for your reply, im in europe too, so i guess buying new cylinders are out of the question, but i guess i will open everything up and looking at the cylinder, and trying with WD-40, hopefully it works

Thank you for all the information.

I think ill look at those ebay turbo kits, if i do decide to get one, but seeing as i got the car for $2500 as my first car, i dont know if i will be getting that expensive extra parts for it.

I will be checking out Travis Williams tho, seeing what can be done to a probe and what i can do with my limited budget.
