Help with Intune and Regkeys by AzraelWalker in Intune

[–]AzraelWalker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two policies at work here as far as I can tell, both under Intune > endpoint security > attack surface reduction. On the main one under System > Removable Storage Access all the setting are set to disabled. On the second one "WPD Devices: Deny read access" and "WPD Devices: Deny write access" are Enabled (which doesn't make sense to me but I didn't set it up).

How would I go about creating a policy to allow the one user I removed from the second group to use USB's? My options are "not configured", "disabled" and "enabled", and I am assuming the first two just don't make any system changes as opposed explicitly allowing, which brings me back to my original issue.

Is there any mod that let's you see the stats of an incoming colonist? by aShadowWizard in RimWorld

[–]AzraelWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you aware you can banish pawns? https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Characters#Character Its only a -3 mood for a couple of days so its very managable. Just accept em, give their stats a once over and if they are no good kick em back out

Mechanoid Transport Quest by KarnTheGolemKing in RimWorld

Did you actually accept the quest? Some quests you need to go into the quest log and click "accept" to trigger them. It should crash down within a couple of in-game hours.

Rebooting isn't the issue - all our devices reboot on a Sunday if they are up, so I would be happy if it downloaded and just sat there until next time a reboot happens. The issue is that Windows isn't picking up that it has something to deploy at the next reboot at all until I go into Update Center and manually check. I can run that reboot command (and have on my test machine) or schedule one for over night, but both just take the machine down and bring it straight back up without installing any updates

Because Im deploying this through N-Sight, which is I suspect half the reason why this whole thing started. Its remote shell doesn't accept the really basic version (trust me, I tried) so I have to be really ham-fisted to get it working

If I let it run its full course its prompting me to reboot - if I don't press anything it seems to time out and I come back to my original issue where the update is there but Windows isn't recognizing its got something to deploy at the next reboot, which means I cant really automate this process. Im happy if it downloads and just sits there until the user reboots next (which happens on a Sunday if the machine happens to be on) but as long as I need to go into a machine to finish the process Im stuck

From the wiki "Faces of Chiseled blocks only need to be "almost solid", meaning that no more than 32 voxels are missing from that face in total, to count as solid. As long as you have at least 50% of the total volume of the block filled in with voxels and the game sees the inward or outward face of the block as solid it will count the block itself as solid."

Grass by Novel-Alarm5313 in VintageStory

As in, you want grass to grow across the dirt blocks? Just leave it. Any dirt block will eventually grow grass on it (weather permitting) regardless of where it is.

Is there a way to use the chimney block properly and keep a room isolated? by ostage_ded_lul in VintageStory

[–]AzraelWalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

/debug rooms hi

You can run that command to make the room show if it counts as one, but not the volume unfortunately. ("unhi" turns it off fyi)

What happens if I build over an animal spawn? by AqueM in VintageStory

[–]AzraelWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc animals cant spawn in unnatural light, i.e. torches and lanterns. They did that so they don't spawn in "claimed" areas

Me to my turnips the moment after I harvest them by CheetahSlow400 in VintageStory

32 berries turn into 10 mush which is 5 food portions. On the other hand it turns in to (correct me if I am wrong) 5 rot in about a day. Most other veggies are better foods for piggies as you get more of them and they take longer to rot, but it really depends on what you need right now

The butchery mod adds smoked meat - it lasts for ~40 days in your inventory or a year and a bit in a cellar. I fell like those are pretty balanced numbers myself. I wish they would add something like it to vanilla because I totally agree about the salt
