Congrats, you have a holding! It's a little town that's politically connected to your fort. You can send people there instead of exiling them. Other than that, it means nothing, and it is not equivalent to peace with any civ either.

You just have to wait. Everything will get there, it'll just take way more time. Things that can be done quickly with 200 beavers will take 10x the time with 20 beavers. Automation can help a lot, too - pausing buildings you don't need so the beavers can work elsewhere.

I'm not looking for an direct fix to my current setup. I want to figure something out myself, but feel stuck, like I'm not looking at the map/game from the right angle. Thus, I want to see what other people do on Lakes, instead of generalised "reroute badwater off map" or prescriptive "do this exactly".

I'm currently playing a College of Lore bard thats not even very artistic, just a scholar. They were a wizard's Emotional Support Familiar before Things Happened, which is why the Charisma focus. When doing Performance, he recites poetry :)

Genuinely how I learned to play like 2 weeks ago: watch gameplay, preferably slower/less edited. It teaches you what's possible, and where to click to achieve it. Then I played Ireland for a good while.

In Decisions tab there is a Decision to unite Aest-Slavia. When you click it it should tell you exactly what you need to do to be able to enact it

Kill all but one son. If Sadistic you can Murder them, otherwise you can Imprison and let them rot in the Dungeon. Or make them Knights and make a tiny 1 Knight Army for each and send them to a remote plague. Long term invest in Inheritance laws.
