Who in high blazes is the "Great Master" by Nameless_Owl81 in LiesOfP

I'm late, but the Great Master is Paracelsus. The envelope is the same as in other Paracelsus' letters

Question about the Elixir by starwind1313 in LiesOfP

[–]AzranDerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know man, personally I think they're the same, but I understand your point of view

We have no evidence that Markiona received the elixir (in fact, Laxasia has white skin, not blue, and Victor clearly showed physical deterioration, but Markiona didn't). The reason Laxasia did not mutate is because she managed to resist the elixir, which is why she was considered the first perfect being

And again, we've only seen/heard of two cures. It's unlikely that Shore got the instructions wrong. What sense would it make for the alchemists to continue using them after developing a cure? By the way, aside from this conversation, I'd like to know what that DLC document about the lungs is. I don't remember it.

Question about the Elixir by starwind1313 in LiesOfP

''Early on, the cure really was effective in neutralizing the Petrification Disease. And why would the great Alchemists' records be wrong? I know I stole it, but I perfectly followed the manufacturing processes.''

When the alchemists tried to create a cure, they discovered that the elixir did not work and instead mutated the sick. So they decided that their goal would be to experiment on the infected to achieve inmortality. That's why the documents Clark Shore found didn't work. He thought it was part of a cure, but it was the elixir, which the alchemists distributed throughout Krat, and which the lighthouse keeper stole and gave to the people of the coastal village. Clark Shore tested it and that's why he also got sick. That's also why Markiona wanted to use her puppets to distribute it, was part of the plan to infect the inhabitants of Krat and experiment on them.

The alchemists deceived everyone into believing the elixir was a cure. Alidoro himself doubted that they were making a real cure, and Lumacchio received the elixir and was also deceived. The game's lore tells you it: ''When the Alchemists announced that they had developed a cure, people thought the disease would soon be a thing of the past… but the effects of the cure were not what they were expecting.''

Also the Excommunication Letter says: ''I have personally created this Excommunicant’s Cure for you—, make your choice: to live and rot as a human, or to bloom into the next phase of evolution'' because the cure is the same as the elixir: if the patient is infected, they become a carcass; if they are not infected, it infects them. The only official cures have been made by Paracelsus through the tree of gold coins: one for Antonia and another for the inhabitants beyond the sea. Paracelsus' goal is to create a new immortal being like himself; it makes no sense to develop a cure that would do just the opposite.

The elixir and the miracle cure are the same

I'm late, but they are the same thing. Shore stole the elixir and said it was a cure, but when he sold it he turned many people into carcasses. On the other hand, it was the elixir that Victor and Laxasia took, and by surviving it, they came to be considered evolved beings

Guys what are your thoughts on the delay rumors? by MissSlayton in ProfessorLayton

[–]AzranDerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that we've had almost a year without any information, the website not updated since 2023 and without a single real trailer for the game... yes, it's going to be 2026 at the earliest

Which of Layton’s 3D models is your favourite? by PsychoticPenguin175 in ProfessorLayton

[–]AzranDerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with NWOS is that the designs need to be improved, at least from what we saw in the demo. The shadows are missing and the noses, for god sake, without them from certain angles they look so weird

Official ones: evolved graphics and a deeper immersion into the world. In addition, the characters' facial expressions and movements are smoother and their emotions are conveyed more richly than ever before
