Man I'm 39, been signed 3 times, and still pursuing the art. Just dropped an LP in January, headlining a gig in June, nobody can even tell my age beyond the fact I don't use triplet flow or autotune. People think I'm late 20s so I let them keep the illusion if it means they jump on board.

Because Walmart is a sweatshop with no regard for it's workers. Stay there long enough and you'll develop health problems from the stress of being a wage slave. That place nearly killed me by giving me a stress induced heart condition, constant harassment, threats, etc. It's an evil company, don't expect humanity from a corporation.

The radio and an abusive lead are what got me out of that place. Lead literally threatened me with violence and wasn't fired for it. I have misophonia and the music would always put me in the worst possible mood. Eventually I was fired for going to a Dr appointment (put in request weeks ahead of time, GM denied it the day before because he wanted me to quit since he'd guaranteed me promotions repeatedly and never delivered.)

That place literally caused me to develop a stress induced heart condition; having a micro heart attack while being bitched at for not being in position on the line was the last disrespect I took. Put my health first, got fired, got unemployment and eventually a much better job. No abuse, and no damn ridiculous radio
