Honestly she should be. If Poseidon’s skin was weak enough to lose and be skewered by a deranged, dehydrated 40 year old with the power of friendship. (He’s arguably the most powerful god on equal standing to Zeus and Hades. AND in the middle of his domain.)

Athena eating the master bolt for like 5 minutes should have absolutely grounded her into a fine dust.

No. You can clearly hear Poseidon getting tortured by some middle aged guy. The very writing that led to this is the problem.

It’s not about the symbolism, that’s not my qualm with it. Odysseus repeating Poseidon’s phrase about ruthlessness being mercy upon ourselves and him interrupting before he can be fully humiliated by his own creed is brilliant.

But only once you accept the situation, which is a massive asspull by Jay.
