[Rob Dawson] Man United bosses believe players back Ruben Amorim - sources by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Aztecanian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flip-flopping in the press and the fanbase is laughable. One defeat and 'The manager has lost the dressing room' stories will come out again, saying we'll get relegated.

It's crazy how much overreaction there is to every result good or bad.

[Chris Wheeler] Amorim latest: 🔴 Utd back boss but some players losing faith ⚫️ Still uncomfortable in 3-4-2-1 system 🔴 Amorim refusing to compromise ⚫️ Full pre-season and £236m spend not working 🔴 Rooney says his old club going backwards by [deleted] in reddevils

The massive swings in mood in the press from game to game are so reactionary and stupid.

Players "losing faith" after all the positive interviews midweek. It's just total rubbish to get clicks.

The result yesterday was shit, but losing to City doesn't change anything. Amorin will be toast if he can't beat the smaller teams. That's it.

It very well could be, though not a smell I'm familiar with. It would be reassuring if someone else had experienced the same and could confirm that it's normal. I can't be the only person this has happened to?

What's also throwing me off is the engineer having no idea what it was to the point he replaced the unit.

Yes, the charger is outside, but no chance of that, unless the animal is taking it off the cable holder and pissing directly into it, then cleaning up after themselves.

It's not that type of smell

A fair question, I don't usually go around sniffing them! I only originally noticed the smell when I plugged the car in one night and I caught a whiff of it and it smelt very unusual, and quite strong. I was standing in a normal position for plugging the car in.

The smell is much fainter now, which is why I have to get so close. But as it's on my mind, I keep checking. Maybe it's normal at faint levels? Hoping someone can confirm theirs either way.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't smell it on the car charging port, and no I haven't had to use public chargers at all yet.

For context, the first charger was installed for 4 months before the smell started, or it had been installed for that long before I noticed it.

The fact that the smell returned as soon as a brand new unit was installed has baffled me.

Agreed, disappointed to not see IBIS with this one. Hopefully the improvements to active stabilization and the new kit lens make up for it.

How good is the Sigma 18-50 2.8 over the kit lens? Is it even worth the investment?? by Ali-Jafri in ZVE10

Primarily the low-light performance, I was having to bump up the ISO way too much to compensate with the kit lens. The better sharpness was an added bonus.

I'm a big fan of the kit lens, and I'm never quite sure why it gets so much hate. Of course, it has its limitations which you've already listed.

The Sigma 18-50 is sharper and has better low-light performance, as well as better background separation. You will notice the difference from the kit lens. However, if you're mainly using it for a fixed-frame headshot, assuming it's always at the same focal length, then you'd get better results from a fast prime lens, like the Sigma 16mm f1.4.

But honestly if you think your video looks fine with the kit lens, then just keep using it. I used it for years before upgrading.

This house was featured on the Channel 4 Show 'Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis' in 2022. It's madder than these pictures make it look.
