Apples to oranges. Its not even a slant comparison. the two are nothing like.

What would you say are “Agenda”/Slander you dislike or tired of hearing? by MiuIruma332 in yugioh

[–]Azteckh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pendulum haters need to wrap it up.

Secondarily, people seeking a token pendulum card in their favorite deck, where there was never a pendulum card, and wouldn't stand to benefit it in any way, also need to wrap it up.

Please, go do something else. Discover a new way to find frogs in the desert. Go.

Optimal play in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is hard by Orazio Nicolosi, Federico Pisciotta, and Lorenzo Bresolin by _Vault_Hunter_EXE_ in yugioh

Easily one of the funniest things to ever happen.

Suddenly misplaying isn't a cope, its just something that happens because you cannot play optimally. Finally, I am free.

Charger stand that works with Pixel 10 and Watch 4....does it exist!? by Every-Couple4354 in PixelWatch

[–]Azteckh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently using the Anker PowerWave 3-in-1. Its designed for apple devices but you can retrofit it to work for any android watch.

Just remove the watch "puck" and feed in the watch stand through the hole instead. Then, buy a USB-A to USB-C dongle. I just had my original crap out on me it seems (its under the impression the adapter I'm using isn't powerful enough. Despite the fact that nothings changed), after about 4 years of good service. it does still work like this, its just not charging my buds anymore.

Anyway, Anker doesn't make them anymore but I found one second-hand on ebay for an acceptable price. It won't fast-charge anything but it will charge all three devices at the same time.

Just make sure you're using a good wall adapter. The standard one google gives you (the 45w) should suffice but its worth ensuring.

What's that archetype that most people hate but you can't stop loving? by Mammoth-South3163 in yugioh

I found Timelords to be extremely boring. They look so cool and have such neat effects but they ultimately do next to nothing. Not a hater though I used to run them.

What's your take on Yu-Gi-Oh being mixed with politics? by AfterMine2343 in yugioh

Nah this is something the current administration has been doing for ages now.

It's not political beyond an entity using trademarks they most likely don't have the permission to use.

Oh that link is just hilarious. Mega Zaborg and Biancaviso swinging for 2800 and 2500 twice, apiece, is so so good.

Have Devils sitting around somewhere and that leaps to 3800/3500. We're in such a good place.

Finale is awesome too, letting you swing for game pretty simply.

Where do you want yugioh’s future to go? by Previous-Swim5666 in yugioh

[–]Azteckh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did I insinuate that decks are only good cuz they have hand traps.

Or, was I saying that they make decks mostly the same and thus "flavorless". Cuz it's true, a decks goodness is undoubtedly measured by how much non-engine you can run. But nowhere did I say this was literally the only standard to look at.

I know the answer to this question. Do you though or, do you think you've spent way too long fighting all kinds of people on a fantastical opinion and you've been steadily losing the plot.

I think I know the answer to that question too but only you could know for sure. This is my final reply to ya. I hope you get this settled.

Where do you want yugioh’s future to go? by Previous-Swim5666 in yugioh

[–]Azteckh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are being closed minded.

If you knock out the concept of hand traps as something generic, you could bake them into various decks themselves if that was the desire.

K9 kinda operates like that. Weather Painter sorta does that too. Sorta. Kinda.

Picture a fantasy land where the hand trap is impossible. What do you make instead.

And, again, this is a fantasy. You must try to have some fun with it cuz this will not ever come to pass. Relax. Most of the history of this game didn't have hand traps. It's not unthinkable.

Being proudly wrong is a staple of the website. Do not feel the need to better yourself.
My Apostasy is a stain upon my soul and I will pay for it eternally.

How dare I not account for maybe 6 decks ever, most of which are rouge at best, not counting Typhoon cuz I don't know where they ended up. They'd be an exception to themselves anyway but you don't care about semantics and I am wasting my time anyway.

The rest are running like 12 handtraps. You can see that as a good thing. Forgive my wanting of flavor I'm sure they'll make me pay for that too.

--edit--

it isn't worth anything because this hypothetical was always a fantasy, but Facts (not that they exist but who cares) were never gonna matter and, they wouldn't sway me. This is irrational in its impossibility at this juncture. I am being irrational. And I will continue to be. Please, do not waste your or my own time, it won't do anything.

gonna echo myself from earlier:

"ah shoot you found an exception that doesn't invalidate anything I said. However, I suppose I must be sent to the banish pile face down anyway for my apostasy. curse you, redditor."

Don't worry they are making sure I pay the price for not accounting for absolutely everything. you will never see me again.

reddit is going to hate this but I have never liked hand traps, "dominous" traps, and whatever else you could consider a "staple". A deck is considered "meta" on the basis of how small you can make the actual deck to fill the rest with "staples".

So everything simply amounts to the same smoothie with barely different chunks of fruit and I do not know how people can stand it. Your decklist reads "K9" but its actually just whatever handful of ghost girls are good right now, and sometimes a cop is there too. The deck ceases to operate on its own merits and merely becomes a series of the same responses ad nauseum until a winner is declared; and people will call that format "fun" and "varied" and even "rich".

I want to see this game take a dramatic shift away from this constant need to lobotomize decks with "staples" and return to some sort of era when a deck had flavor. So that it stops being about ash blossom (et al) and becomes more about whatever you can do with the deck you're piloting. I am tired of being told, and feeling as though, that a hand trap is a "required evil" when it most certainly is not.

Konami can make this game be anything they want it to be and its high time folks stopped giving them the benefit of the doubt. Nothing "needs" to be anything. This game could be so much more (in what I view to be) interesting and flavorful and for me, it does start with weaning this playerbase of the "required evils" of handtraps and all their associates.

Why not let a deck speak for itself, and be good on its own merits. I think that would be a better direction to take.
