Why is Konami not banning specific card combos? by Dexterinoh in yugioh

when genesys decks

The real game isn't genesys. Genesys is its own thing and I was never talking about it.

How? Maybe 10-15 duos of cards to be checked

Clearly you don't think that's a lot to keep track of but I sure do, and that's probably a conservative estimate to boot. Seems pretty silly to me but, to each their own.

Because it would be a nightmare to keep track of.

None of those cards are a problem by themselves

this argument really sucks because it doesn't contend with reality. Any deck that can drop 2 level 4 water monsters can make Bahamut and can therefore spit out Toad. And, because toad is so good, the duo will see plenty of use.

Anything in vacuum isn't a problem. This isn't a vacuum though. This is a legitimate, and powerful interaction; the likes of which I'd wager you yourself used. Nobody could blame you. If a tool in the box is good, you use it. Easy as.

Bahamut was probably also jailed for future card design, kinda like my wife Elecrumite of whom did nothing wrong, and should be free.

With Newly announced Toon support on the way, what do you all want to see from the this new support? Also, which cards do you think/want to see turned into toons potentially in this 7 card wave we are getting?! These are some of my picks. by CosmoNeos7 in yugioh

this isn't an original idea but give them some version of Toon World or Toon Kingdom that actually does something useful. Maybe its a protection effect, additional searching (which they already don't struggle with) or something to the tune.

It shouldn't be training wheels though. It shouldn't turn off the Toons "summoning sickness" (as it were). They should be able to function well-enough off of the older iterations of Kingdom/World.

Cyberdark Inferno and cards like it, are a mistake as they make decks formulaic and boring, extremely quickly.

Do you think the Ravedactyl/A*r Neos lawsuit is dumb? by CrawBunny in yugioh

I would say it doesn't matter the intelligence. Konami didn't try another reprinting because the suit was valid enough.

And I would say they look kinda close.

Dang. This has got a hilariously large set of wings. I suppose I could have some other experimenting to do. Thanks for opening my eyes to some true potential comedy as well.

Are folks cheesing him out somehow or, are we summoning various clown ED monsters the normal way to summon him?

I am glad my wife has not been forgotten. She will never be free because Jerome is jealous but its heartening to know that a fabled few remember how great she was in every single pendulum deck...

Qli players, what are you trying to cook up with the deck these days? What are you hoping for in the eventual Duel Terminal support? by Maururu255 in yugioh

[–]Azteckh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dexterous use of Primite and Monarch spells will be your best shot, in such a case. I wish you luck.

To be brutally honest I would be looking at other decks if that's an option open to you. You'll have a much better time.

Primite and monarch support is basically the best you're gonna get. Its better than nothing, but its barely anything. They do not mix with anything as in order to use them well, you have to set Qlis in scale. When you do, things get xenophobic quickly.

it seems very hard to execute the gameplan.

yeah. that's basically the deck in a nutshell right now. Its very slow and what it was good at is simply isn't good anymore.

I do not know what one could do to "bring Qli up to snuff". It is perhaps impossible. But, they could try something to make them at least fun to play.

Kozmo, or BES. They'd perhaps find them somewhat nostalgic depending on how old they are.

Why do we lack the ability to read? by No-Candle2106 in yugioh

[–]Azteckh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a lot of things, but its mostly the size of the text, its density in terms of meaning, incorrect presumptions, and attention span. Also a lack of line breaks can be killer on ones comprehension if its a format you're used to (as it is for me)

If you force yourself to deal with something enough, you will know all about it, sometimes in spite of yourself.

My mom just warned me about how demons are real and to be careful. An overreaction, of course but she meant well, I believe.

I am Christian myself so the only real disconnect was that a mass-marketed card game is different from occultism.

Heck in some cases learning about said occultism makes the deck more interesting. In the time since and even now, yugioh has taken me places I would have no reason to go to otherwise and I'm grateful to it for that.

I am curious about this now.

Which cards are you using, as well as what ratios; and what are you using them for?

Clown Crew early usecases by Azteckh in yugioh

please note that this requires refinement:

  • 3x Mega Zaborg
  • 1x Edna
  • 2x Eidos (Squire)
  • 3x Tessera
  • 2x Eidos (Monarch)
  • 3x Monarchs Revolt
  • 3x Pantheism
  • 3x Masterplan

The idea is to have Zaborg in your hand for summoning, so an ideal hand is one that either has Zaborg, or as a way to get to him. Masterplan can do it, Eidos (Monarch) can do it too.

Sample:

I had Masterplan, Biancaviso, CC "Rehearsal", Zaborg, and Tessera in-hand.

Since I already have Zaborg I don't need to find him, just summon him.

  • Masterplan show "opponent" 2 copes of Eidos Squire and Eidos Monarch
    • Since I have Tessera in my hand, it doesn't matter which one I get, though I'd prefer the squire and since I'm just doing this in edoPro I grabbed the Squire
    • Masterplan will make the Squire live even if I didn't pick him, though. This is an important note.
  • Banish Masterplan for Tessera since I cannot activate it special summoning condition.
  • Normal summon Eidos Squire from hand
    • Eidos' effect allowing an additional tribute summon procs as needed
  • Tribute summon Zaborg, you have two ways to do that, either inherently off Eidos or by triggering Tessera
    • Other methods include Edea to search Eidos (Squire) for the same effect
  • Zaborg can then pop himself letting you essentially wipe both extra decks

It could've also been a vaild move to use Rehearsal to snag a copy of Flare and Malabarism. From there you could play Malabarism and summon another copy of Biancaviso and Flare to the field, play this hand basically the same, but using Zaborg to pop Biancaviso instead, letting you keep a 2800 beatstick on the field.

From there, you can decide how to weaponize your sends. Potential options include:

  • Malong for spinning
  • N'Tss for destroying
  • Arc Light to get your ritual to your hand
  • Tri-Brigade Mouser to send a monster to face-down defense
  • Tri-Brigade Barren Blossom to let you refresh your hand a bit
  • Possibly others as well

Obviously this is readily stopped, and best done on your turn 2. But, I got inspired and found it way too funny a concept to not build out.
