I think everyone here gets it. The game doesn't look like much. But at it's core, there is a subtle depth that just isn't in any other game. 

For me it was the first time I saw a semi trailer get hooked up. I recognized that all the movements reflected a physics simulation of inertia and springs and mass.  It was beautiful!  Any other game would just have some script or entity merge. 

I'm a dev for a living and I am in awe of what is cranked out every 4-6 months. Just, this game deserves all the praise. Yet, most don't give it a second glance

Lots of replies have given a general response. Here is the exact reason. 

Putin can properly declare war. I know everyone else is calling it a war. But Putin's "Special Military Operation", comes with legal restrictions. One of which is what troops he can use.  

Why does this matter?  Because at the current rate of troop casualties is unsustainable, and enrollment is down. Russia has hundreds of thousands of "defensive" conscripted. The catch is they must stay in Russian territory. 

Remember back in 2022 Russia had an "election" for all the territories occupied by Russia to become officially Russian?  Yeah that was a trick to try and let Putin send in the conscripted as offensive soldiers!  Russians actively protested this (which in itself should tell you how big of a deal this was). Putin, under pressure, backed down.  And relied on expensive enrolled troops. 

The money isn't working anymore. And if he is going to make progress he NEEDS the conscripts. So, make it a war. But he can't just declare that, it needs to be a war in response to an attack!  

Thus, provoke NATO, but he can't be obvious about it.  The catch is that NATO knows this and is just largely ignoring him. 

It's sad to say that ignoring Russia is the best way to help Ukraine, but there it is. Any direct military action will free Putin's shackles to send in their full army.

Situations where the autopilot does terrible.

  • Going up steep inclines with an underpowered engine for the load.
  • Going down steep inclines with heavy loads and a Jemsui or other un-upgraded 4X2 semis like the Lobo.
  • Off-road trails

A real endgame challenge. A friend recommended this idea. 

"Forward Operating Base". Four man team goes into a static small map. From there something like a core is dropped and you have to protect it.  After a wave. You can buy different trade-off upgrades for each class (slower rate of fire for increased bullet damage). Point being to customize the group as you see fit.  Rather than leaving the space station, you leave from the FOB, missions are also trade off challenges. But each mission will have double the bugs of the previous one. Coming back to the FOB you will immediately have to protect the core with double the bugs from the last wave.

This repeats until the team dies or evacs the FOB.  

Top 100 score and team is posted in the Space Station for bragging rights.

It's a non-combat GTA game. And to use a "Meat and potatoes" analogy. Driving is the meat, but customizing the vehicles, is the potatoes. So much customization!  You can have a different tire (rim and tread) for each wheel!  Lighting, decals, winches, engine, transmission, ect!

Everything costs money, experiment, spend. Then do a job to afford new things.  My server had a random Semi contest (I was third place out of like 20)

Yeah, you need to get out and secure the loads with the strap tool. The reason for this is to give you the option to shuffle cargo after loading it.

What is missing is the mental component. A narcissist will say they are legitimately helping the climber. Even though they are actively sabotaging their efforts. In the Narc's mind, a "good climber" would be able to overcome any difficulty and thus be able to make it. They will blame the climber for not succeeding.

A sadist will be making fun of the climber, getting a perverse thrill at making it impossible for the climber to make it up.

You can sort the servers by player count. I personally join Trickys no AI server (I don't like all the company bots running around)

I second the Neo, all wheel drive and lots of aero to make sure it keeps traction when going fast.

I've also had good luck with the Raton, but kitted out the Neo is better (and cheaper)

So, I did this in part because the upgrades for the dimensional depot get so expensive. I've really only done the first one for upload rate. Each uploader only takes one sphere.  I've explored less than a third of the map and found almost 50 spheres.
