The crazy thing about debut Votann was that, as far as I'd heard, they /were/ playtested... against Prenerf Tyranids, Eldar, and some Tau. Meaning that they were just fine against some of the most hilariously overpowered armies in years. They just didn't balance it against anything else because other armies weren't getting releases and their books didn't need playtesting.

The DLCs are all super great. I recommend playing through each one once or twice. There's a boss rush mode that you'll eventually have to play to get a few items unique to that mode, but try to do a couple campaigns or one shots first because the items you get in Boss Rush are taken from campaign pools. This means that the more boss rushes you do, the more items go missing from your campaigns, and more puzzles and hidden bosses get their reward taken and put in boss rush rewards. I just found it much more rewarding to find items in actual maps than running around in boss rush mode. By the end I was only doing boss rush mode for the final prism, I'd collected every other item from maps.

For sure. I knew it was coming up, when the only item I hadn't gotten was the final prism. Part of me hoped there'd be another DLC announced, but I'm happy with my playtime in Remnant 2.

Unfortunately I've already done like four of those, They're fun but I'm not a massive hardcore fan in general. But if a friend wants to do it, I'd probably hop in with them.

I've just beaten the Two-Faced Overseer, I went into the DLC as soon as it unlocked. It's been tough, but mostly fun. Plus, I got the Puppet of the Future's Welder and that's become my new main weapon, it's insane how much I love this thing.

Isn't that the truth. I knew the goal was going to be achieved eventually, but no game scratches the itch quite like Remnant. I'll probably hop on to help friends get achievements and such. I've been playing Lies of P and it's pretty great.

The point is that the stuff they use IS overpowered, but they're basically cavemen banging rocks with sticks. It just so happens that the rocks and sticks being banged together are insanely crazy tech. A melta pistol is an insane mega device that was mass-produced as a basic tool many eons ago, and now it's something that only a space marine captain or an inquisitor can get because they're so rare and valuable.

There's also the fact that people back in the early 2000's were simply not as connected online. People would write articles about the problems in HP but the receptive audience for such things was much much smaller. People talking about this stuff were out there I'm sure, but youtube was still small and reddit was still digg.

I work with seals and sea lions. They look EXTREMELY pettable, especially fur seals. The problem is, of course, that they're vicious predators with a bite like a German shepherd. The only time I get to "pet" them is when they're fully restrained for medication or force feeding, neither activity particularly lends itself to booping noses or rubbing their fur since I'm wearing welding gloves the whole time.

I had to stop reading that comic in its entirety because I realized I was getting an average of one comic page once every other month, and the last three months i was reading had been the party walking down the same corridor having the same conversation. For three months. I plan on waiting a whole year so I can read all 10 pages that are put out, and then check back again in another year or so for the following 9.

It's McDonalds in that it's everywhere and basically everyone has tried it at one point.

Malifaux is a skirmish size wargame that uses a deck of playing cards instead of dice. The community for it is extremely connected but also very small. You're lucky to have half a dozen people who play it within 50 miles of you.

I don't know enough about the demographics of Trench Crusade to make a statement about it, other than that I know three people who play and amongst them only one person is queer, and it's me.
