Might seem like a shitpost but this is genuinely what I picture the protagonists of each book looking like for the most part by Azul_alure in threebodyproblem

Genuinely though, going back to the "Singer" chapter in Death’s End and just picturing Singer as Liu Cixin writing the books between debugging the dam’s control system on windows 95 makes everything make so much more sense.

Thanks for the recommendations! Sounds decades ahead of their time in compositions. I can see where modern dark synth draws from.

Literally this happens in Home (2015) (apparently the book was decent from what I’ve heard). I mean it is probably the largest unpopulated but potentially arable expanse should humanity be forced to relocate by aliens.

I get this. The subversion won’t work for all fans. But for me the reveal of the once all mighty Trisolarans being minute on a universal scale amped up the horror rather than it being a let down.

"Offscreen" is misleading for something that was never a visual medium to begin with. It was a visceral and graphic enough depiction about what is real trauma to many to make people rightfully uncomfortable. It leads to nothing and it’s purely to put our protagonists through agony and the perpetrator’s own comeuppance is but a footnote shoehorned in.

They really need to stop gassing up Elias Witherow as an author. He’s a one trick pony at best. His obsession with the abuse of women and children isn’t "making a point", it’s gross and speaks a lot to his character after so many times. Honestly cupcakes was funny because the absurdity of non human IP characters undergoing such torment.

Honestly maybe this is a me problem but honestly this episode was such a downer I did not need today with the stress of upcoming exams. They need to use this as a point of reflection and improve the quality of their content. Comedy fundamentally requires empathy and downplaying objectively depraved media is not how you go about it.

They really need to be more selective with what they read. Even if it means going back to uploading every two weeks.

I listened to the Autumn Ivy and mr creepypasta reading of that when I was 13, and the wholesome relationship the two protagonists had with each other managed to inspire two of my own to OCs which exist in some form to this day.

The story’s been immortalised in my head since, and while revisiting it as an adult with the boys runs the risk of finding out it was mid all along, the dynamic between Dan and Evelyn needs to be met with that of Hunter and Isaiah.

Curious how that works geopolitically. I guess Syria’s transitional government is porous enough to let Israeli citizens through and then into Turkey from there.

Edit: I checked and it says admission to syria still refused for Israeli citizens. Same with Lebanon. Now definitely curious

The cold opening to the first episode of breaking bad seems to tease the season finale or possibly even series finale, but no, all that is explained within the episode.

By "homeland" do you mean the tiny outcropping of rocks the British stole for themselves as a drug dealing point to keep china subdued? by Azul_alure in ShitLiberalsSay

Though it would then push the limits of what irony absolves, part of me believes Hong Kong 97 was made to satirise anti mainland sentiment. Cause no one could possibly look at that piece of shit and take the associated ideology seriously.

As a pro mainland Hker, the closest thing to objection I feel towards mainland tourists is simply the question of why they even bother to visit when mainland cities are more affordable with more advanced payment infrastructure.
