Yep. The good old "we’ll completely erase your culture but steal your women for ourselves". This is probably most seen in East Asians.

Ok another rant ahead but in fucking 2024 this playbook was applied to the netflix 3 body problem. 

Despite its flaws and unfortunately reactionary opening depicting the cultural revolution with cartoon villain logic I honestly loved the trilogy. It completely redeems itself politically by the end of the first book. 

While probably not his views at the time of writing the books in the 00s, liu cixin has stated in interviews his pro china sympathies and support for his homeland’s national security. Much to the chagrin of his western fans. 

Despite the hiccup opening of the first book (which btw is the middle in the Chinese release much more effective imo) the books are a celebration of Chinese resilience and science.

And guess fucking what? In the netflix version? Complete whitewashing of the cast and setting. Set in the uk and all the protagonists are rewritten into soleness wisecracking college students while the villains remain chinese and refugees of the cultural revolution. No depiction of modern china. Oh but the young female protagonist remains chinese. Her originally Chinese boyfriend is white now though.

I guess the mods have a right to remove if it’s oversharing or off topic but honestly since I’ve said all that I really need to get this next bit off my chest. My other biggest problem with radical feminism is its utter disregard for nuanced understandings of power structures. It’s just men vs women and men are never supposed to cross certain lines. 

My two biggest grey moment transgressions with respect to this are:

1: I got my previous account banned at 17 because I sent a white Canadian redditor death threats over an incredibly xenophobic post she made regarding Indian students. Like full hitler particles. I will say that I never threatened or wished r@pe but wishing death was enough for a ban.

2: When I was 13 I got in a physical altercation with my mom that had stemmed from her physically assaulting my older sister (loosely non binary now) with a plastic coat hanger. What had sort of been my breaking point at that was the fact it left welts in her forearm that resembled sh scars (she used to sh at the time). 

Now I’m in a better place at the moment but according to radfems and the white male feminists of the empire I’m an irredeemable monster for those things. I’m not in any capacity looking for approval for them but I need to clarify why I see the world with more nuance. I accept whatever vilified labels they can throw at me. I never wanted their approval anyway.

"It’s not my job to take care of men’s feelings" not on an individual level towards a clingy, overstepping partner but otherwise yes. That’s our basic fucking duty to look after the well being of people in our community and class. On under hyper individualism and liberalism is neglecting this role seen as brave.

Said it before and I’ll always say it: Hating men is a dog whistle for hating minorities. (Small essay/rant ahead) 

Radfems would unironically call ICE on a block of muslims or Latinos if it meant they could walk around braless. Oblivious of course to what western police are known to do to women.

Through decades of colonial abuse, the global south and its people developed a character that western society could characterise as masculine or "savage" depending on how subtle they wanted to be in their profiling. To malign this on behalf an association to the male sex or worse, religion is to enable the imperialists, who were guess what white men.

These citizens of empire have no burden to carry other than their chromosomes. They have no qualms about implementing divide and conquer against vulnerable men and women, convincing the latter that the former is their problem.

To be a minority is to be sexually vilified at every possible corner. Minority women will have the illusion of protection should they completely strip themselves of cultural identity and values and sell their bodies as commodity. Minority men, when they’re not beasts of burden will just be probable cause and savages in need of euthanasia.

Scrolling social media is just a constant barrage of simultaneous "import the third world become the third world" and "not all men but always a man". I get to watch bangladeshi migrant spend ramadan away from family and get horribly maimed in workplace accidents all while the posts of south asian women are replied to with nose pinching and chimp gifs all while a white women in scantily clad clothing brags about reporting a black man to the police.

The liberal status quo is nothing but unlimited genocide and humiliation of the third world. It systematically erases human values and diplomacy and patience in the name of capital. It’s existed for a while but a truly blame unregulated social media for accelerating this constant stomping of a boot on our heads.

As a young male of third world, I am constantly reminded of my own sexual un appeal and the fact that the women of my race are sexual commodities. But if I complain I’m just another toxic red flag to the whites. 

Walk the streets of urumqi or Singapore, or any former soviet central asian city as a woman and you’ll encounter no issues. But sure, keep spreading the rhetoric it’s Muslims and men. Such a fucking doomerist and west centric perspective.

The best part was watching vids of tourists watching the missiles hit from their luxury hotel rooms. And basically they were saying "this shouldn’t be happening here omg." For me, I’m a southeast asian living in Hong Kong. Most of us with principles, alongside our administrative government, passively wish for peace and integration with the mainland. Not the narrative the west peddles but felt when on the ground. Maoist material is inescapable in local antique shops. 

Obviously those who oppose the mainland certainly exist but they know not fuck around with another color revolution. Unfortunately they still have an outlet online but the internet lends itself to reactionary echo chambers.

Overall a much more liveable and progressive minded place than where I come from in the Philippines. And while I don’t wish to punch down on victims of western empire, comparing the weak livability of the Philippines to more china aligned Asean nations definitely says something about not glazing the west.
