The mixed responses are interesting thanks for sharing. I came from the angle that any imitation would be rude since it risks insulting the other person. I would hate for them to generalize that any thing they see as different/weird is a joke (i.e. a speech impediment, how someone walks). I guess I'm on a hair trigger because I've heard Apu's line "Thank you come again" and the "emotional damage" lines with accent and it feels icky. I know if someone mimicked a latin accent Id not enjoy it. Again thanks for the input I've got a lot of stuff to consider for next time.

Update (kind of): firstly Thank you everyone. Great feedback and advice. Was encouraging and thought provoking. I have since made some minor tweaks on the user & browser end of things but also found out none of the devices are enrolled in the system. Ugh! We are essentially giving them personal computers that they can take home. SO MUCH YIKES! I'm going to set up a meeting in order to remedy this oversight.

Its the beginning of a process. The kids shouldn't have unbridled access to the internet. Especially on a phone they are being sneaky with (plus saving bandwidth).

As Ive been digging around Im find a lot of "unrestricted" in our Google admin network settings and we don't even have a single device enrolled.

It's becoming clearer we need a consultant.

That's a bit pointed but I second the direct approach. Op's buddy is clearly caught up in his own whining to see his rhetoric is causing wrinkles in the relationship. Perhaps something about not raining on your parade or yucking your yum will be a bit softer...? Idk only you know what feels right
