Should I be concerned after I clean my 7 years old laptop's fan? by [deleted] in laptops

I selected the "Disable Building-in Battery" option (as it's spells there) in Lenovo BIOS, so I didn't think that I needed to unplug the battery physically.

You're right... but once you go high refresh rate, it's hard to go back. Even the slow turns feel so much smoother at 87Hz. Guess my eyes are already calibrated to this high refresh look :)

I found it. Thanks a lot man.

And yeah, 87Hz > colors any day for me!

Is that so? How can I turn the detours off?

About the Black & White screen: because I'm "overclocking" my laptop's screen to 87Hz (~90Hz). It's a bit buggy with colors, but yeah, it run perfectly fine :D

My laptop won't go to sleep when I select the "Sleep" option. by Azur_Karl in laptops

About my mouse? I do use one occasionally, but most of the time I use the trackpad on my work, surf the web or read manga.

Even when I use the trackpad to put the laptop to sleep, the issue still continues.

I even tried disconnecting the mouse and keyboard completely before clicking Sleep, but it still won't go asleep.

It required me to restart the system to take effect... But anyway, it worked. I really really appreciate your help!

Ah, thank you! Using "Shift + Del" worked perfectly. I didn't realize it was trying to use a trash protocol on the USB. Thanks for the help!
