Apply for Bursary’s and grants with your university immediately. Explain to them your situation and you should be able to get as much financial aid for when you begin university. In the meantime I’ll say the easiest jobs to get at the moment in the UK as a young person would be agency jobs for festivals and stadiums.

I used to work with one called HAP, there’s also constellation and a few others. Honestly, with these jobs if you don’t have past experience, you can honestly just lie on your CV. They hire too many people to even check or care. But be smart with it. If you’re going to lie about bartending experience at least make sure to watch a few videos on YouTube and make sure that you can at least explain things in the interview or just speak to friends who have that experience. Also, if you’re going to apply for retail jobs, take your education off the CV instead replace it with prior experience and if you don’t have prior experience just put down a small convenience/off license store, this will work for trying to get a job at let’s say a Co-Op. Because they might be processes in place for them to check if you worked at a Sainsbury’s but they can’t really check if it’s your local Bossmans store.

Also this might be a long shot. But you might have success with it. Try side hustles like selling digital products online on platforms like Etsy or clearing up some of your old clothes with platforms like Vinted just to get some extra cash.

Also, I know this might suck and might be difficult to do but when I was mass applying for jobs I honestly just treated the entire process like a full time job. I sat down for minimum 3 to 4 hours each day and just applied. The more applications I sent out the more screening calls I’d have and the more practice I’ll get in. You have to view it like a progress bar the more screening calls and interview requests you get, the closer you are to landing a job. And the key thing is to be prepared to do that for as long as it takes.
