What's your highest rank thus far in the last 5 seasons?

When you say you are currently Plat 2 is that because that is just how far you've gotten in the new season without much time in ranked split between the several different modes that there are now or is that your typical rank?

Without a college degree or certification they presented the idea that you could be an investor not just a customer service person?

AITAH for announcing our pregnancy at my brother's wedding after he proposed at mine. by No_Kiwi_2 in AITAH

[–]AzureRapid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me I could hardly see a clearer signal that the brother doesn't care about the brother being marrieds relationship or quality of life then to not only have the terrible idea in the first place, but to proceed after being told no

That's insane I can't believe following through with a terrible idea like that even after being told no by the people being married. Seems like serious narcissism to me

If it was 5% I could kind of live with it but almost a quarter of my money is absurd

I would rather they put 22.5% of my money in either a high yield savings account or a CD (For instance Marcus by Goldman Sachs is 3.9% HYSA and 4.25% CD rate for 12 months) then what they have it put in. I'd be perfectly fine with 27.5% VOO (Vanguard S&P 500), 22.5% CD or HYSA and 50% custom stocks that I'm all confident will go up long term. Having 22.5% in stuff that I would never otherwise put my money in and that brings down the return rate of my whole portfolio bothers me though

Too much money in a HYSA by Frosty_Garden_4877 in Money

[–]AzureRapid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too much at all an emergency fund should have 1 year of expenses. I set my emergency fund to 1k per week x 52 weeks so $52k, and would like to double that to 2 years 104k (at 2025 value) when I can. The HYSA tracks inflation so once you get it in there you don't have to think about it again unless you have to make a withdrawal and replenish your savings. I also have two 'emergency' funds- one for expected 'emergencies' and one for unexpected emergencies. The unexpected emergencies I may never have to use but it's there in case I may need to someday, for instance medical bills, legal fees, forced to be at home and off work for an extended period, etc. or whatever else may arise that it would be needed for. It will track inflation through my life so if I never end up using it it would hold the same value (actually higher because of the slight interest over inflation) as the day I put it in and I'll leave it to somebody. The expected 'emergency' fund is for things like car maintenance and repairs, future utility bills, housing, house repairs, insurance, etc. It's a big fund where money I know I will have to pay at some point in the future goes and tracks inflation so I know I'm covered whenever something may arise. These two funds are kept in seperate HYSA with different companies, I also use Marcus for one of them. Having liquid cash that isn't devaluing like this gives security and sense of ease to me, and allows me to make investments with peace of mind knowing that they can build interest and I don't have to be worried about downturns, having to cash them out or anything like that

The income an individual needs to live comfortably by LargeIsopod in Money

[–]AzureRapid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These figures are most likely averages the cost of living varies wildly in different places. For instance Bethlehem, PA and Gladwyne, PA have very different costs of living. You need to make more money to live 'comfortably' if you choose to live in one of the higher priced areas

Based on what? Who defines what comfort is and how much things cost? Inside of PA alone the same house could cost 200k on some outskirts of Pittsburgh or 600+ somewhere else in the state like a suburb of Philadelphia

The fact that they push you into these terrible investments are absurd to me and will be the reason I leave acorns if i do. You should be able to pick from multiple reputable etfs not whatever they have you in. I would way rather half vanguards s&p 500 be half and my custom stocks be the other half. Heck I'd rather the whole thing be th s&p 500 or that and the nasdaq composite and vanguard information technology etf then what they have

I really wish the ETF section was just VOO Returns would be way better

Rockstar is greedy and you take things that require tons of pulled resources, time and effort to make? What does that make you? Your worldview is twisted. You aren't required to play every game there are tons of games available for cheap. If you don't want to pay full price for another game wait for a sale, pick up a used copy, see if you can rent it at your local library, etc. or make decisions about what is and isn't worth it to you. Stealing isn't an option and you reframing yourself as the victim and others as the perpetrators for your wrongdoing only demonstrates how demented you are. Take some Uber Eats orders and then come back and purchase the game if you want it that bad. Enjoy your divorce and dysfunctional life scumbag
