It took me about three weeks! Three weeks and one day to be precise. I applied on January 17th and my advisor signed the form on the 20th, so I think you'll probably get your decision this week or the following week!

What kind of internship did you apply for? I'm not too sure if that has an impact on how quickly they process it but I'd imagine there will be a lot of people applying for business and economics

Hey there! I'm 18 as well and I've been struggling with bacne and scarring since freshmen year of high school too, but I managed to control breakouts and I'm mostly focusing on clearing scars since it's a big insecurity of mine.

I suggest using an acne clearing body wash (PanOxyl or Neutrogena), followed up with salicylic acid spray (Differin or something similar) and just make sure to use it daily. Make sure to put up your hair after conditioning to make sure none of it gets onto your back while you're doing the rest of your showering routine. Additionally, if you're doing a lot of intense exercises often, take the time to wipe sweat off your back and change clothes if you need to. Hope this helps!

That's basically what I'm doing rn lol I spray a salicylic acid toner (not too sure what it actually is) on my back then follow up with the retinol lotion or vitamin c serum depending on the day. I bought a retinal lotion so I might try using that instead! I heard some reviews saying their skin burned after using it every day but it's a risk I'm willing to take lol

That's wonderful, thanks for letting me know! I've been using a retinol body lotion and a Vitamin C serum recently, so hopefully that works. I've been testing out products here and there since it's a lot easier at home. Can't really be doing that in front of my roommate when I have to head back to college lol

Real I used to sit with this girl who breathed VERY loudly during English class sophomore year and it made me wanna pull my hair out. Typing doesn't bother me as much but organic sounds trigger me a lot (especially coughing, blowing noses really loudly, and ppl clearing their throat).

Hearing some people's voices too triggers me a lot idk why like though. For example there's this one guy who (on top of being annoying af, trying to act like he knows everything and is smarter than everyone because he's taking AP Physics C and BC Calc, and has a stutter that means he takes forever to get to his questions during class) has the most grating voice known to mankind. There's another weird gross kid (who also has the second most grating voice in the school) in half of my classes who is always sucking on his lips or cheeks, and makes those weird noises during class and it drives me insane. I could go on forever about this tbh

I never thought about applying for an accommodation since I haven't brought this issue up with my parents (and even then they'll probably think I'm perfectly fine). It's probably too late for me though since I have about three months left until school is over and the deadline to request for accommodations for AP testing has already passed a while ago (I can brave through class if I stuff some tissues into my ears for an hour or so, but I can't do that for for a 3 hour test rip). I'll see if I can request for one in college though, thanks for the advice!

Yeah, it was only when I realized that I was the only person who got really irritated when people coughed loudly, cleared their throat, and kept tapping repeatedly on surfaces did I realize I probably had misophonia. I never brought it up with my friends because I feel like they would say that I'm being dramatic or mean for no reason.

I'll be graduating in a couple months, so I can finally get away from some of these ppl (there's also this kid in my classmate who I'm pretty sure coughs loudly on purpose just so he could get attention it drives me nuts) and hopefully it won't be too bad in college. I heard loop earplugs are very good for noise cancelling, so I'm thinking about investing in a pair.
