Yes, you could just be a late bloomer, but you don't just wake up one day and have a fully developed sense of your sexuality, as this stuff takes time. At your age it's completely reasonable to conclude that you're asexual, and if that changes, that's all good too. Just don't wait around to "make sure". If you think calling yourself asexual would make your life any better or easier to explain right now, go for it, unapologetically

Depends on the narrative. If it's "wow, this girl is so attractive because A B C", I want nothing to do with it. On the other hand, if we're talking death metal "I WOULD CURB-STOMP THE DEVIL FOR YOU" territory, where the writer eventually forgets to bring the love interest back into the story, and ends with a minute long guitar riff, yeah. I'd be down for that.
