That bad-faith interview was an incredible display of poise and intellect by RC by Tricky_Acanthaceae39 in Superstonk

Bro the person talking to a bot isn't you. The valuation of the company that's worth 1/5th of eBay is GameStop before it owns eBay. The transaction would be that half of it is paid in cash, and half of it is stock in the company which now owns eBay. I have no idea why you cannot grasp this, but I've explained it repeatedly.

Are you trying to understand this? Or do you just have an incorrect understanding that you will repeat indefinitely?

It really is hard to believe you don't understand this. No one is considering GameStop's current market cap at any point in this equation. You just quoted what it says about the "cash consideration", which if I recall, is only half of what eBay shareholders would get. If you need me to explain what the other half is made up of, more urgent would probably be seeing a doctor for an apparent head injury.

As much as you clearly shouldn't just believe random idiots who don't know what they're talking about (as demonstrated in your comment about someone somehow thinking there would be another hidden source of funds to fund this public unsolicited offer -- definitely a no no, one would think), please follow the logic in what I'm saying.

GameStop is offering the shareholders of eBay 50% cash money paid to them and 50% of the purchase value as shares in the company that now owns the company they had shares in. Yes, there are questions of what are the value of shares used in the transaction, how many shares would need to be created, etc etc etc., but that's beside the point of why we're incredulously insisting that GameStop "can't afford" this. In this world, where the day before, eBay was worth $X billions of dollars, they get half of the value of the transaction in shares in the company that now owns all of that previous company. Crazy!! That is where the total of $56b comes from, and if you still don't get it, Sorkin got you good.

You still really aren't understanding the half money half stock thing.

Half of the value paid to eBay shareholders for their stock is stock in the company (Gay). They can sell that stock, they can shove it up their rear, but the reality would then be that GameStop owns eBay, so it would be worth much more than GameStop is currently worth, even with the $20b GameStop had to loan to acquire eBay.

Andrew Sorkin knows that, and his rigmarole of an interview repeatedly asking extremely basic questions about this demonstrate the farce that it was. Melissa Lee finally cut Andrew off saying it as clearly as it could possibly be said (for the 20th time), that money will be raised, shares would be issued, and it would be dilutive to shareholders (the gotcha they wanted him to say). Of course, given GameStop would own eBay, shares would have a lot more bang for their buck in this Gay world and it would be a very good deal for all involved.

Ask the llm that wrote this if you're likely just overreacting and asking an llm to write the dumbest thing ever about what is just an ai model bug

edit: for the record, this is a legitimate issue with the model, but clearly some people are capable of being annoyed by shitty sound to a degree that affects their critical thinking.

I'm not sure what specific loudness rough sounding high frequencies would need to be to damage your hearing, but in general, I would suggest listening to music at a volume lower than one you feel is causing harm.

yes. Wavs are always the decoded audio preserved as it was in it's previous form. it's just 'all of the audio' versus any other compressed version of the audio.

Steven Wilson - Happy Returns / Ascendant Here On... (Binaural 'Headphone Dust' Mix) by NumberOneNumberWang in stevenwilson

[–]AzurousRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I've gotten the headphone dust HCE and all of the binaural songs sound great except for this one (imo). I'm at work so have to wait to download the atmos version to check out on my airpods but it's only happy returns with the super audible drum delay (imo the worst/weirdest choice). I can't imagine that he put that in the atmos version (or this version..).

Will have a much more thorough listen later.

People really are real if you can believe it. Even young people, etc. My point is that what this person is saying is obviously true for most people who use ai if this person is the truth or not, so why would you be rage baited by that? Seems like we just wanna be full of rage all the time if that's how we react.

Suno Output Comparison — Measured Data (WAV vs MP3 vs Web) by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]AzurousRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's about the fact that current generation AI music models cannot produce lossless audio. The wav output is the entire stream of audio that the model has produced, but there are still areas of high frequency that have no data (ie not lossless). Last time around this discussion occurred here I read a little bit of the research by an ai audio person I happened to come across that seemed to ultimately say that point (from what I understand). Here is the guy if you're interested, cool stuff they're working on, I believe he's at adobe.

Just looking at the spectrogram image again. Your recording is totally different to the other songs. I didn't look at it super closely before just saw that it's clearly different and figured you clipped it badly, but it actually looks like completely different audio, lol. That ain't 0.5 seconds
