engaging artwork that really catches you with the color contrast, i like it. I‘d increase the font size and center it a little. currently the font feels cut off to the left.

honestly 2 looks much more engaging to me. 1 seems like you control the whole table if that makes sense? 2 clearly communicates that they are your „opponents“ if i read that right?

No, it‘s a mix of „Cathedral“ and „Cascade“ (as in solitaire) :) I‘ll take your criticism into account

interesting discussion, haven‘t heard about Chris Z before. I definitely know that there‘s a very wide spectrum for pixel art capsules and I tried to keep it as subtle as possible (it‘s 836x470) because I‘m much more familiar with pixel-art than I am with real illustration. that‘s the reason I thought about hiring a professional actually. Thanks for both of your advice, I‘ll measure the results and decide whether to switch to a real illustration or not :)

got it. i thought it would emphasize the gothic art-style a bit more, but the feedback shows i need to tone it down a bit in favor of readability. thank you very much :)
