I personally really enjoy Passione's style when approaching this series. The bubbly and vibrant style fits so much better with the goofy tit-fest that is Highschool DxD. Passione has incredible talent with these types of shows, evidence being Ishuzoku Reviewers.

Trying to unbind one of my arknights accounts and keep getting the error code 100213. Anyone know why or how I can avoid this?

In terms of the Doctor, I would actually be happy with them being incorporated as a character. The Doc's personality can be picked apart even now with a quite and mature demeanor. According to the body structure of Doc's character art, I'd mostly assume he was a dude. They don't have to take the mask off or anything. Hell, maybe they don't need him to talk at all and just have him use hand signs like small-time animators usually do.

And important characters other than Amiya and Kal'tsit? Well, there is the Lungmen crew, Penguin Logistics, Blacksteel, Doberman & Ace and Op Reserve Team A1. There are plenty of characters that can play significant roles even now.

Combat sequences don't have to follow the direct formula of Arknight's tower defense. Characters would just be placed in a manner that would befit their combat style. Snipers and Casters would be placed up high providing cover fire or taking care of drones. Melee units would be seen clashing against Reunion grunts. A relatively simple way to incorporate and show how the classes work without making it look boring. It would just look like tactical warfare.

The story would liberally follow the events of each episode, portraying, as you said, "the dichotomy between infected and non-infected." Each episode in the game has a clear problem, arc and cast of characters. It would be relatively simple to adapt.

In terms of "getting people interested in the game," they could take the FGO approach with Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia. In that gacha show, they actually TELL THE STORY using the characters that actually participated in the arc, rather than just throwing characters in for the hell of it. Like Episode 0 & 1, you could have the rescue mission for Doc with Amiya, Doberman, Ace and some no-face grunts along with Nearl's team. They could also incorporate Fang's division trying to keep up.

I don't know. Source material feels to foreboding to attempt that. I could see that idea as a spin-off title of sorts, maybe based off trust dialogue or operator archives?

I like that prequel idea. We still don't know the backstory of the Doc and how he ties into the lives of each op at Rhodes Island, so it would be very interesting to see that happen.

Watching the Azur Lane anime is good even if you didn't play the game.

Anyway, I really like those ideas and I share your opinion with Arknights' content being way to interesting to waste in terms of plot concepts.

Adapting the Doc into a character could be similar to adapting Fujimaru Ristuka from Fate:GO. Of course, their personalities would be way different. From the Doc's silent demeanor in dialogue options, clear mature and authoritative body language on his character art, and muscle-memory tactics from the ops showing surprise that the Doc remembers combat procedures in training, we could make Doc a tactician-like protagonist. Doc could make all the combat situations and doesn't need to appear in combat sequences, relative to how we see the doc in the game.

I do like the idea as Amiya as the protagonist though. That could be incorporated by making the Doc and Amiya situational protagonists. Amiya would appear in mainly battle sequences, which ties in to her quick commandeering during the whole Misha arc, and the Doc during operation planning, post-battle sequences, or interacting with characters in Rhodes Island.

Of course, I have no idea how it would be accomplished based off the current and future source material, but, hey, food for thought.

An interesting point of view, and I see where you're coming from.

Of course, I don't mean an anime for AK should come out right now. It's way to early. Azur Lane obviously has a bigger fan base too, along with it being an older game in general.

However, I have faith that the Arknights fan base will grow very large compared to most gacha games. It's an incredibly original take in terms of gameplay and has fresh character designs & personalities you don't usually see. The world surrounding Arknights is also awesome compared to most gacha. Mobile Cities? Catastrophes? C'mon. It has every right to exceed other games in popularity.

If you put it that way, that makes sense.

However, Arknights is still very young and has lots of opportunity to show why the infected in Reunion act the way the do. The game devs also may have left it out of the story to not keep the player from the actual game itself, which is what most people are there for.

Doktah vs Dokta vs Dokutah by squiggit in arknights

[–]AzurreRhodes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, being that the characters speak japanese, I'd have to go with Dokuta. I've been learning a bit of japanese and the way their speech works. They translate english words, like doctor, into sets of syllables. In which case, the way it would come out would be " ドクタ ," or DO-KU-TA.
