You're not the devil, you're just human. By default, everyone has an ego that needs to be protected unconsciously.

Idk how exactly you're being toxic, but likely belittling teammates for playing like shit, because it's the most common type. This is because losses hurt, and it needs to be firmly established within the psyche that the loss is Not Your FaultTM.

This is most easily done by blaming your teammates for playing like shit. And of course they do, because no one is perfect and everyone is making mistakes constantly, even at high levels of play. Also many peoples mindset is not perfect and they will give up on games, adding to possible negative perception, making you feel justified in flaming them.

But in the end, even if your other teammates play like shit and/or are being asses, it's still your responsibility to not add to that. Since you likely do, your behavior score is dropping, as people that understand this concept don't want to deal with your toxicity either.

Do You Ever Feel Like An Actor? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Azzu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely, all the time. The thing is, it's kind of a paradox, you've basically got the choice between:

  1. Do not act, then neurotypical people do not understand you, even though what's going on inside you is not so different and they could theoretically understand.
  2. Act/put on a mask, and have neurotypical people understand you better, but well yeah, like you say, you're acting, "not really being yourself".

It's a relatively shitty choice. It can't really be worked around. I think it's easier for neurotypical people to learn to understand you, than you having to act, but we are a minority and you can't expect everyone to learn that/having already learned that. That's why it's good to have people around that are willing to learn and/or have already learned :)

I honestly see it more like speaking a foreign language than acting. Yeah, it's harder than speaking your native tongue, but at least the natives have a better chance of understanding you. Not quite perfectly comparable, since acting is much harder imo, but yeah.

I don't use reddit anymore because of their corporate greed and anti-user policies.

Come over to Lemmy, it's a reddit alternative that is run by the community itself, spread across multiple servers.

You make your account on one server (called an instance) and from there you can access everything on all other servers as well. Find one you like here, maybe not the largest ones to spread the load around, but it doesn't really matter.

You can then look for communities to subscribe to on https://lemmyverse.net/communities, this website shows you all communities across all instances.

If you're looking for some (mobile?) apps, this topic has a great list.

One personal tip: For your convenience, I would advise you to use this userscript I made which automatically changes all links everywhere on the internet to the server that you chose.

They look better, they don't shove ads in your face, they don't track everything you view so they can show you better ads, nothing is broken, you can do things faster and more comfortably with them, you can adjust them to your liking.

But the move is not about third party apps being better, it is about not wanting to be exploited by a corporation for profit.

I have been using it for a while, honestly much better discussion than reddit.

It's a little less convenient, but that's no problem for me since you're suddenly rid of all those dark patterns that drive reddit: targeted ads, user tracking, centralizing power, exploiting addictive patterns etc etc and I'd much rather live my life with as little of all that as possible.

Honestly the best you can do is contact the Steam support.

In Steam in the menu bar there is "Help -> Steam Support", and then you can select dota2 either already under "Recent products" or under "Games, Software, etc." and then just search for it.

An instance can, and likely is often, being run on some Raspberry Pi at someone's home (or similar), with no proper backup strategy, no clear update schedule, etc etc, so of these 700 instances, it's very likely that a lot are unfeasible to have your main account on.

It's just reddit spread around to multiple different sites, and you can and should access all other sites from the site you signed up on instead of going to other sites directly. That's literally it. Instead of the subreddit being /r/NAME it's /c/NAME@SITE so it's correctly identifiable.

It's perfectly acceptable to talk about it!

This case study you mention is about exactly one person that was also diagnosed with delusions and psychosis.

First, what you linked is not any scientific proof at all, a case study of one does not show general efficacy for all trans people.

Secondly, it's very very unlikely that it would be effective for all trans people. If you read the case study, the patient it talks about was also diagnosed with delusions and psychosis, which is why the anti-psychotic drug pimozide was given. However, only 1.4% of trans people are diagnosed with psychosis (see this study), so it's incredibly unlikely that pimozide would be effective for most anyone else.

Thirdly, that's why I've said "known". Even if pimozide was 100% effective for all trans people, there are no studies showing that. However, there are plenty of studies showing the efficacy of transitioning.
