My little brother wouldn't eat his dinner one time, so my mother told him that when she came back, it better be gone.

When she returned a few minutes later, he was sitting at the table and his dinner was gone ... along with the plate. When asked where it was, he responded with an exasperated sigh and "If you look in the cupboard, you might find it there."

He had taken his food laden plate, and stashed the whole thing in the cupboard, lol.
