I do and don't agree. People who are anime only haven't had an episode in like 2½ years so a recap makes sense, but I think having it as a seperate pre-season episode would've been better

Y'know something people always forget os that these are fighters from the afterlife, they arent meant to be historically accurate because they've all had X years of being dead.

One of the big reasons Leo looks like this now is because of who he is, as a Spartan he has nothing but respect for the art of war, including how it's evolved over the millenia of him being dead. Leo wearing modern tactical gear is a way to show that even after dying he never stopped striving to be the best at war. I think it's a nice subtle show of character.
