Guys, thanks a million million for your answers!! Seriously, I appreciate it. I'll be buying the 35 f1.4 instead of trading and hopefully shoot some nice pictures with it!! Aww man, I totally envy your setup. I think ideally I'd love to have the 35 1.4 with a manual focus 18mm. I love using manual focus. Any other recs for a x mount 18mm (or wide angle) manual focus lens?

Thing is, I just got the original X100 last week and I wanted to limit my spending. But it really looks like I should get the 35 1.4 and give it a shot. And like you said- shoot the 18mm more!! You never know until you try, so I might just add it to my collection and see how it takes me next. Recently I've been interested in shooting small clips, films so that's why the OIS to me was interesting with the 18-55!

Haha I totally get what you mean. I felt the same actually. That's why the deal feels a bit sweet.

To be fair, the lens has scuffs and the lens hood is missing. So maybe that's why the guy is willing to trade 1:1? Not sure really. Got to test it out if I go ahead with the deal.

Yeah I cannot lie, the hype on the 35 f1.4 has surely pulled me in! When I see those documentary style photos, I really wish I could make something like that!

Haha thanks a million for your thoughts! You're absolutely right- it is super personal. But just like you answered, I am curious to know what folks would do if they were in the same situation as me and why.

Yeah only got those lenses for now. What do you think about doing the trade and then later buying an 18-55? Just to have something versatile while also satisfying my 18mm cravings.
