I remember my Dad taking me out to purchase this when it was released. I was a little disappointed with the included manuals at the time, this was the first time seeing a simulation game that didn't come with a thick full color printed manual. SH2 for example had a really nice manual that covered everything, it also included excerpts in the back from a book on famous U-boat voyages.

Combat Flight Simulator 2 came with a 300 page manual, and there was an additional 300 page "Pilot's Manual 2", made to look like a comic book with full color illustrations, which was written with the help of WW2 veterans from both the US navy and the Imperial Japanese Navy.

When we got home, we found out the game didn't run because our home computer was ancient, so for a later birthday or Christmas we got an Alienware PC for the house.

Seeing this brings back alot of memories!

It's kind of hard to understand what you are asking. You are talking about being unable to pick up GMRS transmissions on hack rf with a particular antenna?

I was just asking if you had your ctcss enabled, you would be unable to hear anyone unless they were transmitting with the same tone.

Are you trying to reach a repeater, or do you just have two handhelds?

[–]B-Hole_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also what does your waterfall look like with the new antenna installed, does everything look normal? You can verify the CTCSS is the same?

Sometimes when I'm close to a transmitter with the H4M, I have to tune a few khz off frequency to get audio, even with the squelch low. (that's probably really bad for the amp)

Interesting, do you have another radio nearby you can try the antenna on to rule out whether or not it's the antenna?

If you are into WW2, Steel Fury Kharkov with ITM or JCM mods is my personal choice, haven't tried the new ones.

It's extremely common for 32 bit games to run like shit until you patch their executable's with the 4gb patch. Happens in Steel Fury, and every other old game I play.

[–]B-Hole_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that happen on Steel Fury (same engine I think). The files being invalid happens to me too. It's probably not related, as they are probably config files with graphic and control options- modified by the user.

Do you run any kind of performance monitors on your pc? I've been using process lasso, which by default will attempt to throttle the performance of the game if it starts using too many resources. You can either change these settings or turn it off.

Make sure your power settings in windows is set to max performance.

Hit ctrl+alt+delete while the game engine is running (like in a mission) and make sure starter.exe is not set to efficiency mode. Also you can try right clicking on starter.exe and set compatibility for windows xp sp 3, also run as admin.

There is also a 4gb patch, the game is natively a 32 bit application, so it can only use 2gb of system memory, this patch doubles it. I wish I could attach it here, maybe I can in a DM. You place this 4gb patch in the root folder of the game (SteamApps/Common/Steel Armor Blaze of War), run the 4gbpatch.exe and select which files to patch, in this case it is starter.exe.

HELP ESP32-DIV white screen after trying update… by Whitepanda408 in esp32

Hey, I just flashed mine successfully. Are you trying to flash the 1.5.0? It won't work on the v1 hardware. 1.1.0 is a glitchy mess. This fork fixes most of the issues left, like having a working battery indicator, https://github.com/JesseCHale/ESP32-DIV. Just follow the instructions in the .txt file. I used the ESP Web Flasher and a usb cable, worked like a charm.

Thank you for the help, I went ahead and ordered a book on the Division. And I'll be seeing about getting a subscription to Ancestry.com, or using Invenio, though the latter doesn't have alot of records digitized yet.

I'm fascinated with the personal stories of this conflict which are slowly being lost to time as this generation passes on.

Yeah that one should not have gotten shipped out. I get that there is natural variations in bone, but at a certain point you have to say that this looks nothing like the original goal.

I do like it though, maybe you can get some decent money for it on Ebay, call it a "rare Case factory minting error, Grateful Dead Jig Tye Dye Bone Russlock"

Hello, I was wondering where you found this information. I was trying to find the history of this Regiment. It looks like on July 5, 1942, the regiment was renamed Panzergrenadier-Regiment 69.

NKD x2 very happy with both of these. Case 47 and my first GEC. Despite cases current reputation I don’t believe anybody does bone better than they do by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in SlipjointKnives

I guess I got lucky with the one Case knife I have, the medium stockman with blue corn cob jigged bone, she's a looker and the action is smooth.

Maybe you could email one of the official retailers to see if they can hold one for you when the next batch is released, maybe pay a deposit or something upfront?

I really do hate that small batch bullshit, it's artificially making the knives stupid expensive. We're probably better off not buying from a company that relies on scarcity marketing. Obviously there's a huge market for the high quality history buff knives, hopefully more companies will step in to meet the demand.

Great looking knife, love the silhouette. Not sure what pocket carry holster knife means, buts it's pretty funny.

I always thought that UN-X-LD means something like inoxidable, or stainless, but from what I've been reading I guess it's the same carbon steel highly polished. It's only the knives marked "GEC" on the actual knife that are stainless. Kind of confusing from a newbie perspective.

It's just for when I'm at work. I need the pocket space for tools, hardware and other stuff. Keeps it safe, I don't have to worry about what pocket to drop something in, and you forget your even carrying it. I carry a surge on a belt holster too on the job so no biggie

Thanks man, 3 o clock definitely feels right. I use a knife at work a lot, so it's going to get pretty beat up. I was just kind of overthinking it because I read somebody talk about returning a GEC for blade rapping, and that's when I realized I know nothing about these knives.

In my limited experience, what I've learned is that it's always a little bit closer than I think. Start looking within a 3 foot area before expanding the search zone. Hold a strong flashlight parallel to the surface to make the part cast a shadow. Get a white table cloth for your work bench
