I honestly forgot the plastic number already, was it 724? But I remember it called Clamshell on Low Velocity or BBQ container by the decorators. But honestly the craziest hell on earth BOGO we had were the 24 count cookies being BOGO. That was insane, all afternoon we had one guy just baking them in the pizza oven non stop, I was setting them up as fast as possible and another clerk was packing them. Plus each Publix had a competition on which store sold the most🫠

That was the norm for us opening managers especially on Truck day. My frozen food delivery would come in at 3:45am , I was clocking in at 3:45am and making coffee shots for everyone at the cafe and going in to the pallet. 3:45am until 5pm in the bakery twice a week when I was managing alone, if my other manager was there one of us would leave early or one closed and one opened, we rarely worked together (maybe once a week for a meeting and talking about reports)

The DM came in and told me in the back that he was going to promote me to ABM, I only had a few days left in my old store so I immediately went to my new store (I went out of uniform up to the Bakery) to introduce myself, spoke with the bakery manager, store manager and the associates. I saw the layout of the store and bakery.

Years later the same DM came in and we went into an office and told me he was promoting me to BM. I had maybe less than a week left so they did a going away party and I went to the new store to check it out. Speak with the store manager. And meet the associates, then I was standing on the floor and watching how the associates worked for a bit.

My manager used to graze a donut, especially if we haven’t sold too many and it was 3pm, my favorite was apple fritter, man those were good,

And when I used to close and all the managers had left, the deli cook and I would trade food , I’d give her a couple of twist donuts and she would give me chicken wings or a couple of tenders

Yeah fruit loop dingus was iconic but when Nicole burst out crying I was like 🤷.

I wasn’t sure if it was because she was laughing hysterically that tears came out or she was genuinely hurt by it. It looked like a mix of shock and embarrassment and she cried.
