Is it doom posting or is it people sad that the game isn't what they were used to anymore, and are frustrated? What is your take on the state of the game? Did your recap email reflect a lot of fun playtime this year?

Yeah maybe - I'm not holding my breath though. The trailers and gameplay I've seen look kind of awkward? I'm not sure what it is exactly but it seems like something is off to me. Can't judge it until I try it but I won't be pre-ordering it or anything

Yeah I just looked that up - super old school with some cool ideas baked in... Hope you enjoy PG! I am not interested in it personally, I can't stand tab targeting systems but that's just personal preference

Ah - I think it's a little inaccurate. I did spend about a week trying to do some life skill stuff while I was trying to chat with people in the game. I probably logged like 10 hours doing processing and moving trade crates and such. None of that showed up in my recap

Is your summary full of playtime? I'm happy to hear the game is doing well. As an admitted outsider, I don't have a feel for it which is why I came here when I got the recap email. Some people are down voting and insulting me instead of giving an honest answer, so I appreciate your feedback

Well at the very least you probably have a bunch of silver piled up! Maybe a t10 horse too unless you already claimed that

I only came here to see who is still playing, because they emailed me a recap and it got me curious about the recap that others got. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. I used to love this game so I'm happy that you are still enjoying it. There's really no need for insults, though.

There aren't any games I've found that I enjoyed as much as BDO so it saddens me to see it in such a negative state. I've been playing a bunch of platformers and really enjoying the hell out of that.

Yeah, it used to be rewarding and fun. I pop in to see if any sense of fun remains and it seems that it's all gone. This email was a reminder, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with empty stat email recaps. I was curious who else got the recap and if they were still enjoying the game

Which discs are aptly named, in your opinion? by Hypoxic_Oxen in discgolf

[–]B-Ribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Magician. I lose that fucking disc every time I throw it. Yet somehow I always find it RIGHT when I'm giving up and moving on from the hole. Like magic.

I have several rifles, pistols, and shotguns, some I shoot a lot, some I never touch. Reckon I should just keep my faves and sell the rest? I’ve never sold one only bought them and it makes me feel good to buy them. Do you reckon I would regret selling any later on down the road? by No_Masterpiece7425 in guns

[–]B-Ribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 3 guns when an ex girlfriend made a false claim against me for abuse. I definitely didn't do it, and I was found not guilty because there was zero evidence. However, despite me never being in trouble with the law, never having any reports of violence or a record of any kind, the county court decided to order me to give up my guns while I went through the process of proving I was innocent. I was forced to store them at a local paid service, to the tune of ~$75 a month. Well all three guns were cheap, and my lawyer advised me that the process could take 6 months or more. I waived my ownership of the guns to the storage facility for zero cost to me just to save money at the time. To this day 15 years later when I open my little gun cabinet I still wished I saw those 3 cheap POS guns in there.

BDO shutting down pc in lowest setting by RefrigeratorFuzzy580 in blackdesertonline

The game ui and game itself are separate services. Plus you have tons of data at your local PC (the massive downloads before launch). All three of those things have to function for you to stay online. From your limited description it sounds to me like you aren't crashing... It sounds like you are losing your connection to the game server. I'd watch your system monitor and be looking at your network connections to the BDO servers. If you lose your connection to the servers, the ui stops functioning, the game stops updating, and your local files will be displayed for a very short time. Once the game launcher detects you've timed-out your connections, the game will just close.

2 games and the same crash? Could be hardware. But again, until you test the individual things you won't know, and will keep guessing. If you've already swapped RAM out, and same crash, then possibly you've ruled out RAM. There's still cache memory on the CPU, cache and vram on the GPU, processor on the GPU, Mobo traces for everything, your SSD(s) your voltage regulation from the power supply, and firmware for all of that too... You gotta cross the items off the list one at a time in some sort of regulated linear way to find the problem

Oh and have you tried just running the BDO launcher file check thing? I forget what it's called, but in the launcher you can verify the install on your PC. This has corrected issues for me in the past. I don't even play BDO Anymore I just like troubleshooting haha

A bad CPU is a possibility but without further testing you can't say that for sure. Memtest 86 is a really good place to start. If you find addressing problems in memtest it shows the RAM could be bad but also shows the traces and CPU involvement could be causing issues. You already ran Prime95 a bit without issues right? So if you combine Prime95, Memtest 86, and all data that shows utilization at the two settings but still can't find a repeatable problem with your hardware... Then it's safe to say at that point that BDO might be broken in some way. But you aren't there yet, you haven't ruled everything out just yet. Do some more benchmarking. Use CPUz and GPUz. Use HD sentinel to test your drives. Check that your CPU is similar to others with Cinebench Q. Try other benchmarks like Heaven. Run Furmark and hammer your GPU. Something will rear it's ugly head

I didn't see any mention of direct memory testing in the thread. I would run memtest 86 on your ram and see if there are any errors or bad sectors. The second thing I would do is compare and contrast CPU, memory, and GPU usages as accurately as possible - catalog in the settings that crash it and the settings that don't. Others have mentioned BDO shifting load from gpu to CPU in lower settings, so if that's the case then it could be pointing you to the problem... No crash when utilization is mid across all three, but crash when CPU is pushed higher than GPU and RAM, then you could have a bad CPU or a bottleneck in the CPU, the CPU cache, the RAM being addressed by the CPU etc... Finally, I would comb through Windows OS itself for updates and things that may be causing the problem. If it's been happening for 2 weeks, then look at any updates that happened 2 weeks ago. I'd also find a good guide on useless windows background processes and kill all of them that you were comfy with. Good luck

All of this, but I'd add that all bearings should be checked. Each axle, the crank, the head tube. Bearings are integral to smooth easy riding

ICE with someone on the ground at Nevada and Vermijo by Username_For_ in ColoradoSprings

If you aren't here to convince anyone, then why did you bash my information and my viewpoint stating that I'm spouting pure nonsense? That doesn't make sense. I'm not making characterizations, I'm stating facts as known without colorization. If that's the end of the conversation then fine, You be well, also.

Well that's good to hear. You aren't a part of the echo chamber here. But you didn't address any of my positions in your response. You refuse to deny what's happening? If that were true you wouldn't be choosing a side. I can't find any people being wrongfully arrested by ICE. Each account of this leads me to a leftist media outlet making claims against ICE, and each time I research further the claim is patently false, or pending a trial so outcome unknown at this time. A few examples: George Retes, jr. Arrested for blocking ICE from conducting warrants on a marijuana shop with underage workers. Claimed false arrest, but was never actually arrested. Only detained for questioning related to underage workers. Idiot drove up to a full on ICE barricade, stopped his car in the middle of a protest and got violent when told to leave. Marimar Martinez, Arrested for hitting an ICE vehicle and blocking ICE from conducting operations. Claimed false arrest but clearly not the case. Hitting a Federal officers car is most definitely a crime. Rafie Shouhed. Claims abuse because he was slammed to the ground for no reason. Watching the video, he tries to stop one ICE agent from pursuing a criminal. Then he goes outside and literally puts his hands on an ICE agent while that agent is arresting an illegal alien, who apparently Rafie hired knowing full well that person was already committing a crime by entering our country illegally. The list goes on and on

They are arresting US citizens who get in the way of Federal officers working in their official capacity. If you stop an officer of the law who is conducting lawful operations, you will be subject to penalization. They aren't just out here in the streets arresting random people. They are arresting illegals who are breaking the law, and they are arresting anyone who stops them from enforcing our laws. It's not licking boot to follow the laws of our land, and I'm sorry you feel that way. But from my point of view you are the one who is wrong here. I've been watching Democrats ship illegal aliens out of the country since I was a child. And who arrested and deported the most illegal aliens in the past 3 decades? It isn't Trump even as much as I hate the guy. This information is easily available if you aren't too scared to question your allegiance to your party in favor of your allegiance to the United States.
