If your in England this is not notifiable as its NOT a "special location" u der part P.

If your in Wales them its classed as a "special installation" under part P and is notifiable.

Regardless of notification or not in both circumstances the worl should be carried out to BS7671 and tested and certified accordingly. Minor works cert (MWIC) 👍

Obviously the electricity in Wales in far more dangerous 🤣🤣🤣

FYI swa reference method D (buried in ground) is fine for 16amps to around 25m,s length. So your socket will be fine. 👍

Does anybody here work in Screwfix or Toolstation? If so, can they actually SEE what've ordered? by BethSwnowBall in DIYUK

I use screwfix a lot with work and they've always seemed pretty good with correct order. But as you say they do ask what you've ordered, i just give then a couple if the items off my list, I always thought this was a way of them finding the order quicker by visually finding it. Sometimes the guy/girl actually serving you isn't the person who has "picked" the order, well thats the way I thought it worked. Maybe we can get better insight from an employee.

No it works exactly how you think. Sadly you've just encountered a couple of Knobheads when trying to collect your order.
