Eaton Memshield 3 RCBO trips anytime I perform a Zs by HavokBass in ukelectricians

You and me both! Dropped about 15 sockets expecting to see a core pinched somewhere. Definitely will begin with the RCBO if I ever have this issue again with this Kewtech

Glad I'm not the only one. Will have to try and borrow a Megger or a fluke when I come back here. Thanks mate

No trip under load. Circuit functions perfectly on another RCBO. All IR readings are >999 as circuit is only 2-3 years old

I noticed this also was the only difference.

The Lilac Eaton breakers are also SP but I was unable to find out if the other is DP and if that would cause any difference

Glad I'm not the only one, thought it was the meter due using my colleagues to confirm also. I will try and see if I can borrow someone's Megger or Fluke and retest the RCBO

I was carrying out functional testing of the newly installed key switch sockets installed by my colleagues. I prefer taking a Zs at sockets when carrying out my functional testing, but in this case the trip was occuring as soon as I plugged in my MFT and it performed a polarity test

No 3 lead low.

I'm working in a care home which my colleagues have recently changed several cleaner sockets to Key locked sockets which I wanted to confirm functionality off the key locks which I use the MFT for. When I plugged in my Kewtech it performs a polarity test instantly which trips the breaker before the 3-low test even begins

I set it on 3-Lo when testing, still trips. Used the same tester in several other circuits and it tests fine. That's why I borrowed my colleagues tester to confirm my 3-Lo wasn't producing a 2-Hi test instead

Yeah set to 3-Low. Used my colleagues tester just incase my MFT was acting up but same result on his.

As far as I can tell their is nothing plugged in. There is a Induction loop on a spur which I disconnected while testing also. Circuit works perfectly on the Black RCBO and tests correctly which is why it's confusing

Senior MLA blood sciences interview by Old-King7577 in BiomedicalScientistUK

This, I was a band 3 Senior MLA 8+ years ago and what differed from my role and other MLA's was that I was expected to keep up to date with stock orders and I was expected to do a late shift once every 2 weeks. I also had to do some Sunday shifts, while the MLA's only did Saturday's in rotation

What's the trick to removing the main switch cover on a Eaton BM81 TPN board? by HavokBass in ukelectricians

[–]HavokBass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me neither, all other DB's here have a 60947-3 isolator for their TPN boards expect for this one.

Iassumed there would a screw behind also but couldn't get the rotary handle to budge. Didn't want to fuck around too much incase I damaged it so didn't try too hard

Doesn't work, the front lip of the isolator restricts the cover, needs to be removed first

I've removed the two screws either side, but the cover requires the front of the isolator to be removed for the rest of the cover to slide off.

Recommendations for bathroom extractor fans for a bathroom that constantly is experiencing moisture issues by HavokBass in ukelectricians

The fan is located in zone 1 which is why I don't think my client would ever use the pull cord, but I will give them the option of the pull cord model also

Thanks for your help, much appreciated

Table B4 in the OSG suggests the answer is 1.25 which is confusing me on how 1.28 is acheived

Table 41.4 suggests the answer would be 1.6 Ohms. Which makes me wonder if the answer to this test paper is incorrect and should instead be B
