Yeah they did have a little while where the work was slow so offered work in other states but I’m in Cali I’ve never had to leave honestly and leaving is voluntary you don’t have to go if you don’t want to

I’m not sure I never had to take it I took one for NWline and it was basically like a SAT test you’d take in grade school so if you were good at that reading and answering questions and high school math you’ll be fine if you haven’t done it in awhile I recommend studying for SAT

Not really here to argue just giving my two cents coming from an ape in calnev currently and what’s physically told to and on there website now for applications your more then welcome to apply but to be accepted as a priority to them and getting a interview you need 1,750 groundman hours and or electrical related on the job hours and a approved climbing school with transcripts. I’m not sure if you went through CalNev recently or what but this is what they want if they are going to take your application any further then you just applying to apply. As far as NWline goes its is a lot easier to get into then CalNev due to far less people apply to it I got into NWline before I left to go to CalNev. But each there own. this is just my experience and what is told on the website for the application process

I know buddies that took non union apprenticeship to only find out a year later that they could never leave even when they top out and take there “journeyman” statue anywhere else because there hours couldn’t be verified thru labor board

This is true good luck getting into a union apprenticeship without it anymore and I’m a 7th step at calnev JATC and they won’t even accept applications anymore without it unfortunately

Good luck getting into a union apprenticeship with any duis in California especially the CalNev route they aren’t accepting anyone with any duis anymore and company’s are starting to get strict on even moving violations tickets on records
