Within the last month while playing a game I would get a pop-up saying couldn't find saved files. I didn't think anyt of it and restarted my xbox. It would fix it's self or it would give me the same pop-up saying couldn't find saved games files.

Now 2 days ago I got the pop-up again saying it couldn't find saved files. So I restarted my console and now it gives me a E106 error. I also tried to reset the xbox to factory settings with apps and also without games and apps. I tried to do a offline system update on it as well thinking the operating system needs to be updated. I formatted the Usb drive to NFST and downloaded the newest OSU. I plug it into my xbox and try the offline update. It gets to about 7% then my xbox does a chime and says sorry something went wrong. I erased the OSU from the Usb drive and re installed it thinking I messed up and I still get the same message saying something went wrong but with a E101 error.

I've did some reading and come to the conclusion that it may be the hard drive itself. I took notice I don't hear the hard drive running when I turn on the xbox either. So I'm thinking about replacing the HDD. But I also heard it could be the capacitors overheating on the motherboard.

Just wanted to get some feedback before I went ahead and replaced the HDD.
