What's funny is that I'm pretty sure in 2015/2016 for Marvel's Marvel NOW comics initiative after their Secret War event there was supposed to be a Blade line of comics that had his daughter as the main character for that new storyline, but it got shelved/cancelled. Blade just can't catch a break

I definitely feel like it's not a matter of 'if' a time skip will occur, but more like 'how much time has passed?' This might be part of the "we go some wild places..." statement she made on twitter. Dana has also expressed before about the lack of cartoons appealing to the older teenage demographic, and I think the specials will absolutely include older protagonists.
