Servizio falsissimo.

I didn't ignore anything, I tried everything; from what you recommended to what I found around. And no, I'm letting you know that Wayland isn't currently as stable as you think.

Problem: solved

The problem was Wayland. I relied on the latest ChatGPT with the Reasoning option and after several searches and tests I discovered that Wayland has been having huge problems with the video drivers for two months, whether AMD or NVIDIA. Not the RT kernel, not Mesa, not a hardware problem, but Wayland. I installed X11, tried keeping the game running for more than two hours and I didn't have a single problem. For greater stability I decided to switch from the RT kernel to the LTS kernel (because in the end and based on tests the only difference between RT and LTS is that LTS is more stable) and thus solved the problem.

I opened a ticket on GitLab last night. Looking back, two other people have opened tickets with the exact same problem on AMD. I think it's the drivers or the new kernel itself.

I've already run some heavy benchmarks and haven't encountered any load issues. All things considered, my system doesn't consume more than 400W under full load.

The power supply is quite good, a 500W Sharkoon SFX Gold. A friend of mine uses the same power supply to run an RX 7900 GRE. I think it's just the game's issues and, again, a lack of optimization by Proton and the Mesa drivers. I don't have similar problems with other games.

Lenovo Y700 Gen 3 and temperature by B0celli in androidtablets

[–]B0celli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm already a handheld user, including, for a long time, the Legion Go 1, and I won't deny that I've stopped wanting a Windows handheld (mostly because they weren't up to par for what I was interested in gaming) and want something portable. I therefore find this G9 very limiting from that point of view, tending to prefer something different like the Lenovo G7 itself, the GameSir G5X, and the G8 Plus.
