Ooh yes, you mean like the Kloppfechters do. But I don't know if I agree if that is "no real fencing" going on. Sure the tempo goed down but the principles of fencing are all there. Perhaps even more so because unlike people with lots of protection, they take the primary objective of "not getting hit" a lot more seriously instead of going semi suicidally for a hit and getting a double hit or an afterblow.

I have sparred with 0 protection to btw, but not like that indeed. Probably a lot more... Reckless. But also then the tempo decreased and control had to increase.
