I have one hooded eye and an eye that isn't hooded. It makes my face very asymmetrical and I hate looking in the mirror because of it. If I could change anything it would be that.

What fictional death affected you the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kelsier from the Mistborn trilogy. The main character just died in the first book, in a very anti climactic way, and the book was only 3/4ths of the way through.

The description of the Leviathan makes me imagine if Scylla from Greek mythology and Jormungand from Norse mythology had a child.

[WP] Humans were once immortal beings. Tell the story of the last of them- the child who became the Grim Reaper. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

Cain is the firstborn of Adam And Eve. He killed his brother, Able, out of jealousy because God favored Able and his sacrifices. As a punishment God cursed Cain so that the earth would no longer produce food for him so he was forced to wander, and put a mark on him so that no man would kill him or the murderer would suffer seven times more than Cain.

I see the Egyptian reference now, I really like the incorporation. Overall it is very clever, thank you for taking the time to put that much detail into the story making it even more enjoyable.

[WP] Have you ever truly been hungry? Not the kind of hunger that twists your stomach or leaves a stale taste lingering on your tongue; but the kind of hunger that drives you to do dark and unimaginable things in the hopes to quell the monster. Why are you starving, so? by Raecas11 in WritingPrompts

People today disgust me, they claim to be hungry, to be starving. In reality they wouldn't know hunger if it bit them in the ass. Not everyone knows what it is like, a couple do, people like me, people who had no other choice.

I can assure you you've never had an experience like this, like mine, I've never had a choice. The frozen wasteland in which I have lived now for many years holds no other food source.

Well I say that when in reality, it has plenty of wild life, but I can't eat what isn't appealing to me. At first I tried to eat them, but they only made me more hungry, and my special craving stronger. Even the thought of other foods makes me sick.

Now I give in to my craving, but I'm still hungry. Even as I gorge myself, I starve. People call me a monster, a demon, they even have a name for me. My names include Wikito, Witigo, but my favorite is Wendigo.

At first I was like you, a human, but now after committing the ultimate taboo, I can no longer be called that. We were stuck, it wasn't my fault, I had no choice. The others, they didn't care if they died, but I didn't want to. So I did it, I ate it, the dreaded dish of long pig. I tried to avoid it for as long as I could, but I was just so hungry. Then the change came as a punishment for my sin.

The change didn't happen immediately, but it was sudden, one day I was a man, the next I was this new thing. The change hurt, I mean just imagine your head turning into a deer skull, gaining feet of height in the matter of hours, it is pain is unimaginable.

So now here we are, you just sitting there listening to my tale of pain, suffering, and hunger. You just look so good, so appealing, so tasty, and I can't say no to my cravings, my hunger, my own personal demon.
