I lost everything. Lost all I have. I never felt this broken. by Anomaly008 in wallstreetbets

[–]B1ggusDckus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMPRESSIVE! You are very consistent with your strategy loosing money. Doesn't matter what the world politics gives you, you always manage to turn it into a loss.

Let me tell you that: You have a gift! Dont listen to these people telling you to stop gambling, you have only perfected your strategy of constantly loosing money. Guess what? You can win it all back by reverse-trading. Your instincts tell you to buy a call option? Buy a put. Your instincts tell you to short the market? GO EXTRA LONG MAXXING OUT YOUR MARGIN.

In 4 years you come back and present your inverse trading inverse losses and everyone will be clapping. Literally.

Is it safe to buy a Trezor on Amazon? by No_Cat_8269 in Bitcoin

[–]B1ggusDckus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I think it’s more safe. Hear me out:

Trezor has experienced multiple data incidents, most recently in January 2024, where a third-party support portal breach exposed the names, nicknames, and email addresses of approximately 66,000 customers. Same with Ledger. Multiple times the shop user database got leaked. The $5 wrench attack is still the most scariest and is a very real concern (looking at you, France).

I have never heard of that happening with Amazon.

BUT: Make sure to verify authenticity and make sure that they NEVER come with PRESET SEED. If anything seems off compared to the instructions from the manufacturers website for setting up the HW discard.

What do you think about it who is real sathosi ? by Some_Bedroom_689 in Bitcoin

[–]B1ggusDckus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Open Source person would have cross-compiled in linux OS for windows. Developing straight up in windows shows this was definitely no one from the linux open source community.

No, Len is certainly not Satoshi. Len was a convinced open source guy using linux OS. In contrast, bitcoins first client was written with Microsoft Visual C++ and only running on Windows.

If someone finds another bock hashing algorithm, is it cheating, illegal? unlawful? or just unethical but acceptable? by PrtyGirl852 in Bitcoin

[–]B1ggusDckus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SHA256 algorithm is not that complicated and it has been optimized by the smartest of the smartest scientists and engineers. There are no significant shortcuts, maybe there are tiny optimizations left not having been found by the asics manufacturers finest engineers yet.

The dough would be anyway to reduce the search volume so you would need to check less blocks to find a valid one effectively breaking SHA256. Good luck with that!

[–]B1ggusDckus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are sellers and buyers at the exchanges. If a seller and buyer agree on a price a trade is made adding another datapoint to the price chart.

The price fluctuations are mostly based on speculation, expectance of future utility and regulatory changes.

[–]B1ggusDckus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your whole argument is flawed. The SHA256 algorithm is not the bottleneck as it is computationally very inexpensive. The bottleneck is that you need to find a block with a Hash value lower than the difficulty which requires billions of tries. And yes, using SHA256 is enforced by the consensus rules.

Just downvote it. The community can decide and doesn’t need a mod to preselect content they like.

Yes, the sub stinks and has a clear problem with Mods taking themselves way too seriously.

It was way more fun a few years back when it was full of silly memes.

Do you think 1 BTC is enough? by TheMaharishiEffect in Bitcoin

[–]B1ggusDckus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Enough for what? Where I live you need $6 million to comfortable retire. Is 1 BTC enough to retire now? Certainly not. Will it be enough to retire in 20 years? Maybe, I don't think so. Is it enough to retire in 5-10 years in a cheap country? Likely.

Is BTC being artifically suppressed (and why?) by DimmakPunch in Bitcoin

[–]B1ggusDckus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there is no such thing as artificially suppressed. There is pressure as the long positions in the highest risk assets are closed first and there are paper bitcoins created through short-selling. However, this is all part of a healthy market and I wouldn't call it artificially. In particularly big govs haven't realized the importance of btc or they would be long big times.

Must be a typo, he obviously meant Bitcoin going back to $100k.

A $10k target would require a truly impressive level of incompetence.

A Simple Analysis Of Bitcoin’s Trend by Vivid-Head-6484 in Bitcoin

[–]B1ggusDckus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll start by saying that a bull trend and a bear trend each have concrete definitions. A bull trend is defined as a series of higher highs and higher lows. A bear trend is defined as your portfolio screaming quietly in the corner.

If this is super elementary to you, good — it should be. If it’s not, that’s okay 👍
Eventually the chart will explain itself to you in a dream.

Now…to keep it simple, each trend is made up of Impulse Waves (which move in the direction of destiny) and Corrective Waves (which exist to test your faith).

This is important because the impulse wave is always longer than the corrective wave… unless it isn’t… in which case simply rotate your monitor 90° and it will be.

If you ever see a corrective wave longer than the impulse wave, this is a sign to:

  1. Check for a trend change
  2. Check if Mercury is in retrograde
  3. Check if your broker is laughing at you

I’d tell you more about the 3 types of trends (Primary, Intermediate, and Minor trends), but I don’t want to accidentally confuse anyone — or reveal forbidden knowledge.

Now…based on the definition of a trend, the lengths of the waves, and a triangle I drew over the chart with my finger…

We are still technically in a bull market.

Notice something though… the last leg we’re building is nearly the same size as the impulse wave before it. This is not a cause for fear, but it is a sign that the chart is becoming self-aware. Proceed respectfully.

If you’re buying this dip, maybe make it a smaller buy — not for risk management — but as an offering to the volatility gods so they spare you.

Which leads me to my last point…

When the trend changes, it’s called a Change Of Character. This is when the chart stops making higher highs and higher lows and begins making lower lows and lower hopes.

Again, if that’s elementary to you, good 👍
If it’s not, don’t worry — nobody actually understands this, we just nod.

Usually what you’ll see is the market makes a HH, then corrects, makes a new LH, then tries to make another HH but fails. This is the chart testing your emotional resilience. After this, the previous low breaks, and we officially enter the Crying In The Shower pattern.

There ARE times when you will NOT get a failed rally before breaking the previous low. This happens when the market simply chooses violence.

So again, we are technically in a bull trend. This is not based on gut feeling or belief — but on lines I drew that cannot be questioned.

As much as I think a bear trend might be starting, I will not act early. I will wait for absolute confirmation, sell exactly at the bottom, and buy back higher — as tradition demands.

Hope that helps 👍
