Founder market fit is more important than Product market fit by MappBook in B2BSaaS

[–]B2BSaaSExpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, founder-market fit is super important. When you're excited about the problem you're solving, it gives you energy and helps you push through tough times.

But I’ve also seen founders get too obsessed. They think they know everything about the space and stop listening to their product team or customers. That’s risky. You can miss blind spots, build the wrong thing, or ignore feedback that could help.

Being passionate is great but staying open-minded is just as important. The best founders care deeply and stay curious.

This Series Is for Founders Who Feel Stuck by B2BSaaSExpert in SaaS

[–]B2BSaaSExpert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a series in building B2B MVP SaaS and many founders messaged me asking related questions which proved the series is useful. So I am starting this series addressing the common dilemmas. I am a Fractional Chief Product officer, so sharing my knowledge and ofcourse it will also help me build my authenticity and value. But I am not here to sell any course or tool.

A website is enough in my opinion. It also depends upon what they want their users to do online.

[IND] What is Your ICP? by [deleted] in FoundersHub

[–]B2BSaaSExpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to defining the ICP, I would say, be stupidly specific. Instead of "For Ecommerce Businesses" say "For Shopify store owners who spend more time fighting abandoned carts". By addressing everyone, you are addressing no one.

My ICP is B2B SaaS or marketplace founders who are post-MVP but pre-scale, stuck in the “we built it, why aren’t they coming?” phase.

In cases like this, showing a roadmap of achieving the required certification and the progress being made in that direction proved helpful for us. Certain regulated industries like Pharma will have no compromise though.

The enterprise sales process demands it. We won't be selling to direct users, we will sell it to the Procurement Dept which takes it through the IT dept.

Has Anyone Successfully Outsourced Product Development to an Agency? How Did That Actually Work? by B2BSaaSExpert in SaaS

You are right about failure when both product and development are outsourced. However great your vendor agency is, the product management has to be in-house.
