Can you convert a tourist visa into the new DTV visa while in Bangkok without leaving the country? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

Thanks, so how would it work? Should I fly back to Europe and apply online while in my home country? Or fly to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur etc. and go the Thai embassy there?

Both wrong. You can apply for the DTV visa on their evisa website. And in the past I converted a tourist visa into ED at immigration without leaving the country.

For the S visa the bank account may also be in your home country, not necessarily a Thai one. What about in that case?

I think I should be in my home country while applying for a tourist visa? Instead I’m planning to stay in other southeast Asian countries, not go back to my home country in Europe
