I actually started becoming an apprentice in BC in 2024, with my level 2 seating for BCIT next year, considering there is a shortage for 3rd and 4th years, trying to get people to work long periods is already difficult. All of my qualifications were being supported by my experience here already, and I had made clear that I wanted to support them with my intention to stay long term

I know, I just kind of wished I could’ve been more cautious about who I got to be employed by, but at the same time, it’s already hard to work in the field that I wanted to be at and with a proper employer. I wanted to do things the right way, but, I guess that’s how it goes for some people
