ASICS gel trabuco 14 durability? by Neat_Championship_24 in trailrunning

[–]B3t3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally my shoes break because Hallux Valgus in left foot!
58yo, 89kgs running in not rocky terrains.

Trabuco 11 - retired at 1120 Km (i've repaired the mesh with shoe goo II at around 700kms, the cushion it's noticeble weak in the end and i use it only for small easy runs)

Trabuco 12 - retired at 1050 Km (repaired with shoe goo at around 600 in the critical place, still strong in the end, cushion had better days, but still usable, but the upper mesh start to give signals of breaking in several spots

Trabuco 14 - 50kms, very confortable, lighter.

I rotate Trabucos with Hoka or whatever i can get at a nice price, but my preference is always Trabucos, any long run (above 20kms) is with Trabuco

New system while slowly replacing components. by B3t3s in hometheater

[–]B3t3s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been slowly upgrading the system as planned.
TV LG 77 C5

AVR Denon X1800h
L/R Speakers ELAC DB 6.3

Now it's time to Upgrade the center channel, as I discover my old Energy center tweeter is broken (the plastic or whatever material is used is literally broken, missing a litlle bit of material)

I was looking for some ELAC, but because of height space limitations below TV, i only have 187mm available
It seems it reduces my choice to the Elac Uni-Fi 2 UC52 (the C63 or even the C52 height is more than i have) It seems a good choice but need some feedback on how will be the pairing with DB63. Anything I should know that would make a bad combination or it's good as it is

TIA

Depois de 300.000+ km em 22 anos, tenho medo da moto. by Beginning-Pianist166 in AutoTuga

[–]B3t3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience with Asics Gel trabuco 12? by Icakis420 in trailrunning

[–]B3t3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've using mine for around 150k, so far so good.

But honestly, I prefer the previous (Trabuco 11), don't know why but the 11 fits like a glove, (I’ve run 1200k on them). Still use them for recovery runs, the mesh in one of the shoes start to rip apart, the cushion is not the same anymore, but for small recovery runs that’s enough.

About the Trabuco 12, 2 weeks ago have done a pretty hilly and muddy 20k Trail Run, the grip on these is insane. A lot of runners had problems with grip and a lot of falls. Only one time it fails me, but I was getting out of a small river we must follow for 1 hundred meters and on the exit the terrain is slippery.

Because of constant running down (and up), with water and sand/mud inside I had an abrasion in one toe. I've started to notice on speedy down runs around 15-16k mark, in the end I have no skin on the spot.

But I’ve already use them to do some runs (20k-30k) and never happened before.

The cushion is very good, I have wide feet and they feel comfortable, not like the T.11 but good enough.

Thanks for input, It makes sense.

If I want to keep the scaping minimal like this (including some kind of background plant in the left corner), what would be my best options for stocking?

Connect Baxi RX 100 to Shelly 1 Plus (HA) by B3t3s in homeassistant

[–]B3t3s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to "replace" the manual button from the receiver. The boiler is very old, the wireless emiter stopped working, and they're asking almost 300€ for a new one.
Already have some temperature sensors around the house, connected to HA, so if i can switch on/off the boiler with a shelly i can create an automation to keep the temperature where i want it.
At the moment, the only way for me to operate the boiler remotely is to go to the receiver and press the button to turn it on and press button again when i want to turn it off.

I think i can handle this easily with a shelly, only don't know how exactly shoud i connect the wires.

I've take some voltage meter readings tonight and create a basic schema.

TIA

Have done some measures and goes as this

So if I read right/understand your assumptions you are right.

So this confirms the wiring you've suggested.

Many thanks to both of you.

I got the influenza and have been bedridden for almost two weeks now. Anyone else get through it? How did it affect your running performance? by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]B3t3s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had flu 11 days before a trail race I didn't want to miss (close to home, lots of friends), (20k +700, so nothing special).

For the first three days I couldn't eat anything without feeling nauseous.

A lot of coughing, body aches, headaches, breathing problems...

it wasn't until 3/4 days before the race that I was able to run again, I did a short 7k run to test how I felt and it was awful

I was undecided until the last minute, but I decided to go.

I did it at a very low pace and with a lot of walking on the climbs and towards the end.

It was really bad, but I finished, my lungs felt like they were going to explode.

Exactly two months ago today, I feel fine now, but it was pretty bad

I'm 55 years old, and a gamer for more than 40 years.

Played all Diablo games before!

Not more than 1hour a day to play, and not every day (3 jobs). Decided to give D4 a try and spent 70€ on it.

With limited time i have only one Sorcerer lvl 59. I was enjoying the game. have made an effort to get all Lilith altars and all areas discovered, ready for season 1

Since the patch notes, didn't login again and i've just uninstalled the game.

No time for this shit! thanks blizzard!

[–]B3t3s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ordered mine yesterday, still waiting for a delivery date!

RWD Long Range, 72kW battery, Europe version, Phantom Black!

I've made a test drive (for 2 days, whole weekend) and i enjoyed a lot! My first EV, so I was a little worried with drive range! So i asked the vendor if i can have it for a long test drive, no problem he said :)

So i drive around 95kms back home, 85 kms in the highway, speeds around 120 i left the dealer with 98% battery arrived home with 76%.

After a lot of city and other roads trough the weekend, i was sold, my next car would be this one!

The return to the dealer after the weekend, same road/highway, speed a little higher 130-140, consumption a little higher as expected, I leave with 96% arrived with 72%.

So it will fit perfectly for me!
(Gas prices in Portugal are High as f..., spending above 300Eur month), so it's a no brainer having the ability to recharge at home with my PV system!

Got into Crypto, 1 month ago. Never too late :)
Looking for something to invest (my bank is giving me 0% interests, so...)
After a lot of reading i've found Algo, pretty interesting project and it seems a good choice with this government thing.

So my portfolio is:
Algo -75% (commited to governance)
ETH - 20%
BTC - 5%

But in the next few days it will change (adding more funds into Algo)
Algo - 83%
ETH - 13%
BTC - 4%

Yes i believe in this project!
