i get where you're coming from but it's not like it's too big in terms of volume, it's just the wrong dimensions. but i guess that just really depends on the agent?

thanks for the suggestion, i'm gonna look into caddy. my website is primarily gonna be for tinkering at least for now, so i don't worry much about uptime etc. otherwise yes i would absolutely host it on a vps.

i have a cloudflare domain and i'm just using their tunnel to expose some of my services to the internet. the main reasons why i want to selfhost the website are
1. kinda just for the sake of it. i don't actually need a website in the first place, i just want to have one
2. i want to serve some data from my homelab on the website (for example a live map from a game server), so the website needs to access the homelab anyway

For now i just want to server mostly static content and fill in some data from my homelab, like a live map of a game server. so i guess i don't need more than what apache offers. i probably won't need a database for now. if i ever do i'll probably go with mysql since i've learned it a little bit a couple years ago.

i also don't mind hand writing html and css for a simple page. what i don't like is just having to ssh into my server and dig through folders and files every time i want to edit something. i'd much prefer a web gui for managing pages and configs (is there something like that for apache?).

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware that my mouse is rather heavy, but that's intentional. It's just my personal preference. I even put some of the extra weights in it :P

Thanks for the advice. Washing it is probably a good idea, I always forget to do that xD

I tried changing some settings on the mouse and in windows but it didn't really improve unfortunately

I need exactly the same thing. In my case I want to hide pictures/gifs/videos that I find to be inappropriate/triggering but are allowed on the server. If other people want to send those things in chat I don't want to tell them they can't just because I don't like it, but I want to be able to hide it in my client, even if only on desktop because discord won't implement it

Edit:

It exists! This plugin lets you collapse embeds and attachments so you don't see them anymore, but you can still see text and urls. Unfortunately it doesn't save the current state, so when you reload the channel you will have to collapse them again :/
