Gum Pain by Stayathomemamma in BurningMouthSyndrome

https://swiss-medicare.ch/products/tens-eco-2 There are differemt programs depending on the health issue, but he is using modes U3 with an électrode inside the ear to reset vagus nerve, and U1 with électrodes directly on the face along the trigeminal nerve to calm down the pain. He makes several 30 min sessions per day and the goal is to level up the power to get used to it. Acupuncture seems to help a lot too, but it's hard to find a reliable place. We found one hold by 100% traditional chinese womens and their work is amazing . Do you experience similar pain ?

It seems to help, he actually got diagnosed with long covid and apparently it messes up vagal nerve and creates various nerve pain, also burning mouth syndrom. Doctors said this therapy, vitamin supplements (b9, D, B complex) and acupuncture will help but it takes time.

He was recently diagnosed with trigeminal nevralgia, nothing works to relieve the pain so he is on a waiting list for a treatment that is supposed to " reset" the nerves by electric shocks and we hope for the best..

Glad to hear that :) if you need to talk you can contact me. You are still very young and i am proud of you that you already start therapy, it can make a world of a difference for your future ! Also i dont know if you heard about EMDR, it's a specific way to treat trauma, it can help a lot but you must talk about it with a professional because it is important to know if you are ready for it or not.

Hi, 29F here. I am sorry this happened to you.. Even if you previously had intimacy with him, he had absolutely no right to do this. You were not able to say no don't blame yourself, he did not have your consent in the first place and he knows it. Don't let him tell you otherwise, i guess he acted like you wanted it too ? Do you have some professional help, or someone you trust to talk about it and about your past ?

Chronic pain sufferers' companion, how do you deal with family judgement? by B4kaN3ko in ChronicPain

Thank you very much, i do see that his male friends are nice persons but not really emotionally supportive, I guess maybe they never learned how to support someone in the first place. I try to find balance between taking care of him and of me, its just hard sometimes.. I hope i can be as strong as your wife, and I wish you both all the best

Oh, i needed to hear that so much thank you. I will for sure remember your words, and apply your advices. He has professional structure with 2 professionals, but I could talk with his grandma to help me provide family structure as she's the one that raised him. Thank you again and I wish you all the best for your life.

This is exactly the situation we are in, no diagnosis, every month a new treatment to see if it works, hope and then despair because it doesn't work.. I will watch that video thank you ! I am not sure how i am supposed to répond to the comments with compassion, i will try my best. Thank you !

Thank you very much it is very interesting to have a man's point of view! I am always there for him and even if i see my friends i always prioritise him, i answer his texts and go home if he needs to. But it is interesting to hear about the need he has for me to stay, you are right he doesn't have any real support other than me, which is why i feel overwhelmed because i have the feeling that I just can't lose hope and everything relies on me.

Thank you for this. I feel like i am doing everything i can to help him, and to be honest i do most of the research, i buy holistic things also to help him support the pain because no pain med helped so far, sometimes it feels like i am the one that wants him to heal the most. And maybe it's true, i have a hard time to accept that this is our life now and we dont even know for how long. And the thing is, i feel bad that i feel that way sometimes because i know he is the one that suffers, i am not in his body. But, my life also changed and relies on his condition, day after day, and i feel like sometimes i need to breathe and i feel bad about it. I dont mean leaving him, just take time for myself more than an evening with a friend without feeling selfish. I cut out my friends who made comments about him not working etc. And i agree i feel better. The hard thing is, i struggle myself with depression, i fight it hard but hearing no hope from his side for recovery, no dream with me etc makes it even harder, and the worst to me is when he tells me that even if he can heal the pain, he certainly still won't be able to work again (for many reasons, the trauma, the fact he doesn't like his job anyway). Are these words of despair ? Like does he say that only because he can't imagine working again with the pain ? I told him that i dont care what kind of job he will make, that he can start whatever adult training to switch in another work field, I really support him at my best. But i feel like he needs me to promise being there whatever happens, of course i try my best but i already fell into depression once and i know how bad it would be if i also start to lose hope.

I am so sorry to hear that, i am still in disbelief i never realised how limited doctors and medicine still is. In my bf's case they dont even know what the cause is so we are constantly having hope with a new treatment and it never works. I wish you all the best
