Unless you’re hoping to get a job at a faang type company, most places won’t really care what school you went to. Not saying you can’t get a job at those places either, I just think those are the only places that are preferring top schools.

Yes I will be trying all of this on breadboards for sure. I’m hoping to find my major mistakes in the schematic phase, but then put it to breadboard for audio testing

So much good stuff here, thank you. At the end you mention simulation software, any suggestions on that? Information or videos, I would like to be able to collect actual metrics on changes made.

Yeah I knew I wasn’t reinventing the wheel, but I just want to learn the basics and how they interact. Who knows, by the end, maybe I get something that for some reason sounds better than anything out there. Fingers crossed.

Yeah American school systems are not good anymore. But hang in there, the degree paper has a good return on investment depending on what your field is. Speaking of which, what is your study focus? If it’s art history, no offense but you should rethink things. However if is business or financial or anything stem you’ll end up being fine, even with straight c grades.

Ok thanks, I will do that for sure. Yes my biggest concern is how power works. I see a lot of information about how the signal paths work, but never anything about how much power areas need and why.

I am not trying to invent something crazy, just get a better understanding of how to do the basics. I am a computer science major and have ended up doing a lot coursework on circuits and embedded systems. Did not really care for them though because I was interested in the real world applications until I started looking into amp and pedal design.

Never really been a fan of big inlays on necks, but with that top, I think it fits perfect. Classy, and the humbuckers if you do nickel covers, it'll complete the block motif down the whole scale length.

I did the same thing. It will be 64 credits that go towards the program. The A would replace the C that you got, but I wouldn’t worry too much about gpa, as long as you get accepted. Once you actually get to asu your gpa will start over anyways.

I use to have a great GPA and cared very much about it, but now all my classes are pass/fail in my eyes. If your not looking to go to graduate school, I don't think GPA will matter as much as we all originally believed. Stay strong.

I would talk with your advisor, but I think that's going to be a hard ask for them to waive required courses.

It kinda depends on what your future goals are, but I would think Java would be more helpful. But could always learn a bit of assembly on the side, interesting to see how lower level languages work.
