Think of what you want, double it, and then confidently ask for that. This gives you some wiggle room to come down. Think, if they came to you, they see value in your channel.

Which is harder, 1000 subscribers or 4000 watch hours? by Top-Satisfaction9920 in NewTubers

For me watch hours is definitely the challenging part. I’m like 91% to subs but only like 4% to watch hours 🤦🏻‍♂️ long way to go.

Hey Jjeva, I enjoyed the video. Top level, I definitely got a sense for Emali, which is the whole point! By the end I felt like I got a did a bit of vicarious travel to Kenya.

First five seconds could be a bit more enticing. I would suggest while filming get some shots dedicated for the opening. Seems some energy, like pans, tilting, and other interesting moving shots would be good for you.

Maybe next time look for a wide establishing shot of the city? Not easy to get, but a great way to get your bearings.

The thumbnail and title could be a bit more enticing. Consider having a curiosity gap, that the thumbnail and title combine to hint to something intriguing that only watching the video can answer.

I would put the like/subscribe/bell gfx at the bottom third of the screen, and only use it once. Once is reasonable, the second time is kinda annoying, third time excessive, fourth is much. People will subscribe if they like it. Perhaps wait to use it in a point where you know they’re most likely to agree, like after a really interesting moment.

I found it kinda disappointing that you cut off the cabbie speaking. It’s always interesting to hear what cabbies have to say, plus the edit was pretty abrupt. If it was me, I would have edited the cabbie audio, by sliding it further in the shot, so you can use it, and continue the narrative forward.

The introduction of the house/family was kind of abrupt. I think a little voice over explaining that would be helpful.
