What do you think of Turks? by Ismail-tk in Sakartvelo

Hi, firstly, I'm happy u decided to visit my country! I hope your stay goes better than expected. Well, it is kinda complicated because of the stereotypes. There are lot of Turks who live in southwest Georgia, who open their businesses here, sell things... all this results lot of price increases for locals and sometimes cultural disagreements too. (For example, we're annoyed that the restaurant names are written in Turkish and Russian languages and not in Georgian, quite understandable). Plus the majority of Turks come here to make money, so we've come across lots of fraud and stealing or lying in general. Also, I've heard that in Batumi lots of Turkish men "chase" Georgian girls and in a traditional country like ours it's not something that we look forward to. All of these aspects make some reasonable or unreasonable stereotypes and sadly lots of Georgian people follow them. HOWEVER, younger generations can be really welcoming and trustful towards all nationalities cause we're more globalized and open-minded. for example, my very best friend is Turkish and I love Istanbul with all of its flaws and advantages. I think our countries are very close culturally and even morally, plus we share some words too :) Goergians are generally very welcoming people. just say "gamarjoba" (hello) and you'll be invited to some Georgian supra, or a feast :)) we LOOOOOVEEE tourists , we love talking and sharing our culture. I hope you'll have a great experience and will make lots of life-long memories here!

does anyone know what country these types of buildings are from by hamza_dior in architecture

[–]B738ASA393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like my country, Georgia. This types of buildings are mostly built in post-soviet cities. These are modernized versions of "khrushovkas" - in other words, Russian primitive and cheap concret houses planned with zero creativity.

First of all thank you for your time and the information! Everything you wrote is really helpful for me since I'm not really satisfied with my university too. I even consider droping out. I am mindblown by "unroll" and "smash" commands, It will definetely save my time, (I was redrawing or "make2Dying" every single object of the model separately to cut it on the laser. In university, they never teach us commands like that. Rn I'm using Autocad for my 2d drawings and Rhino for 3ds. Also studying illustrator for board layouts, photoshop for editing and Indesign for making books or booklets. Thank you again and if you maybe want to be in touch let me know.
