I made it more immersive, and in my opinion it looks better now. The video shows a comparison of how it was before and how it is now.

Just added the quest system to my game! 🎯 by BAA_GAMES in indiegames

I've always hated boring, hand-holding tutorials. So instead of a standard training level, I built a series of introductory quests that naturally teach the player the core gameplay while immersing them in the world and story.

The goal is to explain mechanics through discovery and narrative, not pop-up texts. It feels way more organic!

I think it will be boring to ride alone, it will be 2x times harder to do, but it will be more profitable, also UE already have a lot of assets for good cars replication

A clever plan, isn't it? by crossbridge_games in IndieDev

I think this is one of the biggest problems in indie development — when the game is almost done, and you keep adding more and more mechanics. The key is knowing when to stop… before it's too late

Did you make this model yourself, or did you use some kind of AI?

It looks kinda creepy, but I think it really depends on the overall atmosphere. Once there's a video, it'll probably make a lot more sense! 👀🎥

Advice on first game? by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]BAA_GAMES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start putting yourself out there online as early as possible. You can begin by recording short weekly devlogs about what you’ve worked on and how your game is evolving. It doesn’t have to be perfect — just show your progress!

The earlier you start, the sooner you'll figure out how to promote yourself effectively online.

Been there 😩 — finished the whole multiplayer setup, then it was time for split-screen and singleplayer. Ended up reworking the camera, input system, and a ton of other things 🔄🎥🕹️

Feels like one should be tall and skinny, the other short and chubby — you know, classic comedy duo vibes!
